QUOTE(Cavino @ Mar 13 2014, 08:50 AM) Now still on stock 4.3. Been having problem with occasional msm_hsic and mostly msm_camera wakelock for a month or so liao. Does that means that msm_hsic is a common problem in KitKat?I have went into google and learnt that this problem can not be solved, unless one flash the other firmware OR Wait and hoping that the next update will fix this issue. Any idea? My device is not sleeping soundly anymore. |

QUOTE(EdwinCodec @ Mar 13 2014, 10:34 AM) Really? I didn't learn that it does existed since my 4.2.2 and 4.3 all were good as gold until Kitkat. =/QUOTE(Cavino @ Mar 13 2014, 10:46 AM) Last resort will be factory reset if you have not done that yet. That's the reason I'm currently reluctant to update to KitKat coz if kena really kanasai problem, have to factory reset to reboot. Lazy to replay some of my games. Oh maiiii, how vexing.. My dearest game data would be a goner it seems. Is it affirmed that factory reset would hit a bell? This post has been edited by noookiller: Mar 13 2014, 12:57 PM |

Guys, I think I have decided to factory reset. Too many bugs and could not stand for it anymore.
The only game I am concerning is COC. Anyone experienced in securing the saved game after factory reset? I have went google and it just states that as long as I am connected to G+, it should reload back my old village. Still, I am not convinced, a lot of effort I have gave and even spent a few dollars. Any advice thanks |

Just by passed the Samsung Centre at KLCC. I dont even have an intention to take a look at closer range of S5. From far, the design is horrible. Looks like grand duos? Hope my sight was wrong
If ip6 comes with larger screen, high probability that I will sell off my s4 and go for it~ This post has been edited by noookiller: Apr 2 2014, 02:32 PM |

QUOTE(RoyRF @ May 9 2014, 09:27 PM) Hello Guys, Size, I think its perfect . Personally, its hybrid phone. Game and socializing, heh at least for me. I still prefer note 3 size though, cuz I am a heavy gamer. Much better experience for gaming with note 3 (: I dunno if i'm asking the question at the right thread but need some help. I'm planning to upgrade my 2yr old S2 to S4, so few things that i would want to consider if i choose S4:- 1. will i have better battery life compared to S2? (now i'm using 2000mAh battery on S2), battery life is approx. 8 hours, by 7pm it will drain to 20% (heavy syncing of emails, heavy calls, heavy whatsapp, moderate browsing) 2. comfort wise, is it too big for the palm? I've read some comments before i post this question about battery life on S4. Is it necessary for me to install custom rom (like winamp rom, etc) in order to achieve great battery life or can just use stock rom (kitkat)? Thanks in advance! basically S4 is not too big for the palms. Battery wise, I suppose it is much better than s2 with a good care of s4's configurations. I could get almost 4 hours sot with stock s4 For mods I dunno. im using s4 lte 9505i btw. This post has been edited by noookiller: May 9 2014, 11:33 PM |

QUOTE(RoyRF @ May 10 2014, 07:30 AM) is samsung malaysia officially selling S4 LTE? i didn't notice the model in their website, only 3G S4 variant.. They dont anymore ? I didnt know about it.i just hope that the battery life of S4 won't disappoint & can support my usage.. thanks for the info! I got my s4 lte 9505 32gb on the first day it launched. S4 battery is ok. Make sure to take a look of the wakelocks. My s4 only loses up to 5% with deep sleep. basically s4 is average in battery wise. If battery is your concern, then why not go for note 3? QUOTE(adurian @ May 23 2014, 04:31 PM) i called samsung and they say replacing the screen will cost a whopping RM 608!!! I read somewhere from here, you could ask for discount up to 50%. Is there any cheaper alternatives? buying a chinese phone is much more worth it. I suppose you have to beg/dispute/cry for discount though. Good luck. |

Hi guys,
I'm curious what is the cause of not to have the usual blazing speed of charging rate? My s4 used to get 1.2k (screen on) and 1.9k (screen off) My S4 cable is totally spoiled, I think the cable kissed the water (ps : I always put a set of charger in my sports bag. Once a bottle shaker of mine didn't get properly tightened, you know what happened next). Whenever I charged using that cable, my charging rate is down to 300. Ever since then, I've changed the Samsung stock cable to Blackberry cable with Stock Head, and I am back on track. I am getting a lovely charging rate again. Recently, I can feel that it is starting to get slow again. Hoping any expert could answer my questions. Could it be that my S4 charging port is damaged? Head plug damaged? Cable Damaged? How can and does these affect my charging speed? Thanks. This post has been edited by noookiller: May 27 2014, 04:02 PM |

QUOTE(wajahebat @ May 27 2014, 05:43 PM) It is advisable to always use the original cable, or say, certified quality cables. Thanks for writing down for me. I assume your phone is maintained stock (Non-rooted/Stock Kernel/Rom). Try this first, disable Mobile Data, Wifi, and put the phone in Flight Mode, and plug in the charger, see if that makes any difference than before. If its not, check below. 1.) If that so, need to re-check first, the wall plug. Original S4 wall plug is rated 2A (damn fast charge), you're saying yours doing it slowly. Well it should'nt be. Then try to find any other wall plug that is rated below 2A, like 1.5A(Sony) or 1A(Old Samsung) and plug it to your phone, monitor the charging time based on your calculation, see if there is difference or not comparing when using your original charger (of which you said slow). If its the same then it could be your wall plug problems. But this rarely happen. 2.) The cables, ive tested before using Sony/Blackberry/Samsung/Japan-made cables, all is doing fine except that Blackberry cables. When i use the BB one, the cable will gets a bit warm during charging and that makes me uncomfortable, but i never monitor the charging time. Other cables are doing just fine, no such heat. What im trying to say is, find another good quality cables, avoid BB cables/colorful light cables, especially the cheap ones in the market. 3.) The famous one, that can spoil your charging time is the Android System itself. There are a lot of apps running in the background during screen-off, even when charging. But usually these regular apps doesnt interfere much with charging but sadly, it can. Explore your apps, try and check wether is there any apps that keep making your phone awake, preventing it to go to lower freq. It also can be that your charging port is spoilt. But youre one lucky guy if its true but you still can use it. Actually 0.3mm is quite thick to me. Yes I am non-rooted user. I have tested a few as followings Stock Wall Plug + Stock Cable = Charging rate down to 300 Stock Wall plug + BB Cable = Charging rate 1.2k - 1.9k Blackberry Wall Plug + Samsung Cable = Not yet to be tested Blackberry Wall Plug + Blackberry Cable = 800-900 Based on above, I'm guessing the stock cable is spoiled. Maybe I should get a certified cable for safety as per your advice. 1 more question, how can we tell if the wall plug charger happens to be spoiled ? QUOTE(wajahebat @ May 27 2014, 05:58 PM) Stock Samsung S4 Wall Plug + Stock Cable, this should give you a current rate at range 1.5A-2.0A (Consider resistant) Thanks m8.Seeing from your results, there is no such problem with your phone perhaps Change cable The wallplug is spoiled when it doesnt give an output as per stated on its specification. Can check the output amperage using Multimeter |

QUOTE(steventan85 @ May 28 2014, 05:16 PM) I believe the extended warranty is provided by SenHeng itself, no?In that case, you can check their policy whether if its voided, though I highly presume every policy regarding rooting are the same, which is voided if rooted. Btw, I thought you already have S4? |
