Hi all S4 sifus.

I just bought a brand new S4 LTE model and was unpacking and peeling away all the transparent films/stickers that came with it.

I happen to notice that the rear camera lens too (might) have a transparent film pasted over it. Is it safe to peel it away, exposing the lens or leave it intact? I do noticed a slight blurriness in my photos taken.

Thanks.

this is wad i was referring to...i thot it was the lens mirror, but as i wipe my fone then only noticed the transparent peel over the lens...i tried flicking the peel away but it is somehow stuck onto the lens...hence i posted my small problem here.

the only downside for this peel on the lens is that it is blurring my pix taken with the S4. that's all.

Mine came with a film that have a hole in middle for the lens. That means the lens is not covered but the area around the lens are covered by the film. Left it there up to now.

and it didn't blur most of your pictures?

The lens in the middle is not covered by film. Its a film like your picture but there is a hole in the middle of the film (circle) that does not have film on it. So the film only covered the metallic frame and the inner frame but not the centre glass lens.

Now the film if stuck with dust but the middle glass still shiny coz no film there.

ah. now i get what you mean. yeah, upon further inspection, the film is exactly wad you said; a hole in the middle circle. Initially i thot it was a full-piece film that covers the lens. Mine's just...oily...i presume, but yeah in due time it will accumulate dust like yours. Thanks yar!
