I'm somewhat confused by all these warranty talk. I was under the impression that the online stores and some of the retailers here selling "SG" sets are actually selling parallel-imported sets from Singapore. Which is to say that's not the same as walking into an authorised Sony store in Singapore and buying from there. I bet parallel imports do not have the regional warranty sticker on the box.
Maybe someone who bought from the online sellers can confirm this. Look at the back of your PS4 box, bottom right corner. Check for a black sticker that states "This product enjoys regional warranty service." It is pasted over what would have been the information for Playstation Hong Kong, which is the regional headquarters.
If it's not there, then parallel-imported sets from Singapore is not equivalent to authorised SG sets, and hence might not enjoy the regional warranty. Hopefully I'm mistaken, but as a recourse you should still be able to go back to whoever sold you the console in case something breaks down.

QUOTE(vegebotak @ Dec 27 2013, 01:19 PM) as long as u can claim warranty at website Warranty at website does not mean anything in this case, if we go by what has been observed so far. I doubt there is an internal database of "whitelisted" serial numbers of which warranty can be extended. Hopefully Sony can make the policy clearer if parallel imported consoles are also eligible.

Man, nothing kills my interest in a game more than seeing the words "free-to-play." So disappointed that Deep Down is going that route, it looks so promising. I'd rather pay full price and get a complete game than paying to get it piecemeal.
Anyway, I suppose everyone is still enjoying their PS4? After finishing the SP for AC4 and BF4 (game still broken, no trophy unlocked) I'm back to the PC and PS3. Resogun is the only reason I fire up the PS4 from time to time now.

QUOTE(travis8481 @ Jan 4 2014, 05:37 PM) Anyone has used d amazon $5 promotional credit? How to I know my purchase r entitled for d offset? Thanks The credit is automatically applied to your purchase if it qualifies for the promotion. It's only valid for the 2013 Editor's Choice Digital Games, but I'm not sure if the promotion is live yet as sometimes we have to wait until AM in PST.

QUOTE(pulautikus @ Jan 4 2014, 06:30 PM) I bet u r playing R1 games on an Asian set. Right Western R3 PS4 games still implement X as "confirm" and O for "cancel." I think it's just them rushing out the games without proper localisation, everything has been coming in hot during the launch window. It should improve for the next batch of new games, it was also like this during the early days of PS1, PS2 and PS3.

Purchased Just Dance 2014 on an impulse buy so I have a game that'll actually get some use out of my PS Camera. It's my first dance music game so I hope I don't regret it lol. Anybody else have this game? Any comments or reviews? It's a 22GB download so I'll have to wait a while before it finishes. What's up with that anyway, did they not compress any of the videos?

QUOTE(Sd-RawK-Cab25 @ Jan 10 2014, 02:28 PM) I only have Just Dance 2013 on PS3 using PS Move (which you can also use with the PS4 version sans Camera). It's a fun party game, that's it. For the PS4 version, I have read reviews that there were technical glitches, like swapping recognition between players and so on, but it's a fun party game at least. Don't expect anything like Dance Central for the Xbox, but since you've never tried camera dance games before, I think you would enjoy this one. Hey thanks for the input. Yeah, I'm not expecting anything like Dance Central although I do hope Harmonix will do something for the PS4 in the future as they make the best music games. I already have that sinking feeling in my heart that I didn't really think my purchase through.. but the videos I've seen make me feel that this will be a dumb enough game that I'm just going to have stupid fun and will be willing to look past any shortcomings. Like you said, at the very least it'll probably be a pretty good party game to bring out when I have friends and family over. Good thing we've got something coming up this weekend!

QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Jan 10 2014, 02:39 PM) i got the game from uplay a week or so ago, until now can't play cos no space in the room QUOTE(Owweichieh91 @ Jan 10 2014, 02:41 PM) space need how much large only can play? Conservative reports I've seen say at least 8 feet similar to Kinect 1.0. I've got at least 6 feet in my gaming den, I'll test it out and let you know if that works. Though I will have to bring my PS4 to the living room if I wanna play multiplayer as there's barely any horizontal space where the PS4 is now.

So I gave Just Dance a short whirl while it's installing. First impressions: Top 40 music is almost foreign to me nowadays, I can score perfect combos while standing completely still, and judging by the playback videos I apparently suffer from Parkinson's disease. I give this game 3 "wtf is going on??!"s out of 5 Katy Perrys. I'll come back with more impressions after spending some time with a fully-installed game. I need to fiddle with the camera a little bit more.

QUOTE(Xypheria @ Jan 10 2014, 04:39 PM) Eh..really? I always play this game. So far I havent get the perfect combo when standing still (more like exhausted) Only X because of my movement is too fast or just in-time. I do get perfect when I delay the movement in .5 - 1 sec. Yeah after adjusting the lighting and position a little bit it doesn't score me when I stand still anymore. It's still not perfect so I'll see if there's anything more I can do. QUOTE(Owweichieh91 @ Jan 10 2014, 04:50 PM) does the camera need to detect your whole body ? I'm not entirely sure. It looks like the game works by tracking the movement and placement of your right hand so as long as that's on screen it should be okay? It seems to detect my face just fine, and in-game it only shows the upper half of your body profile. But the playback videos after the end of a stage definitely benefits from a full body capture.
