I got mine from gamers hideout last night at one utama. Call them as they had quite a few units when I was there.

1. register your ps4 online and you will get the extra 90days warranty.
2. you will need to either purchase your ps4 from sony store in curve/klcc or sony online store.. then only can extent the warranty for another 2 years.

I heard from a friend that regional warranty is only applicable if you have official invoice from Sony or from authorised dealers.

Anything less and they won't entertain any claims for warranty.

Yes but apparently units sold by Sony Focus Stores does not come with that sticker too but I think no big deal as you can always argue with the official receipt from the Focus Store.

not sure if it is a good decision to get PS4 at RM1799 from sony center tomorrow .. hard decision .. .

get it ps4 is a good console....online gaming has been better than ps3 so far for me.

ps4 is the best..play about 2-3 hours not hot just slighty warm.. no loud fan whatsoever...no air cond room....

so i search around JB area for ready stock PS4 n it seem 0 stock so far. found 1 shop selling US set for rm2399 with 1 free game.

and most shocking thing is , 1 shop are taking orders for SG set at RM2100.00 pricetag. he sez the demand was too high tat the price need to be raise, n his comment on my statement tat even Sony Msia retail dont cost tat high was " sony mana mana tempat pun tak ada stock ma"

n tat shop also deal n selling stuff here in Lowyat's Garage sale

so what the situation on PS4 stocks? as far as JB goes , its none so far as i know of

TBH all Malaysia sets has that black "regional warranty" sticker no matter you bought from focus stores or Sony itself. Purchase invoice can be your purchase receipt which will do IMO. Anyway no need to worry la your PS4 got problem only worry. 
Your purchase receipt should be sufficient. Do note in point 1 it does say for warranty claims some sort of proof of purchase has to be provided ie. purchase invoice and like I mentioned, no problem its fine la got problem only worry. 

Its better if you get from Sony itself since now Asia sets sold by retailers also the same price already. Buy from Sony store you can extend warranty and save yourself from any warranty fiasco.

If you are just looking for one and don't want to extend warranty get it from retailers who are Focus Stores like Gamers Hideout 1U or TCM. Safer when it comes to warranty.

Just get a basic set + killzone game.

The only difference is the box sleeve and previously preorder got some extras like 2 x 1 month PS+ and RM20 PSN money voucher. But that was an offer for preorder only. It will be hard to find a killzone bundle now IMO. And anyway the freebies are only worth like...RM50..? Inside the box sleeve its still a standard PS4 box....

Not worth the hassle of running around finding now lol.

Gamers Hideout is Asia set with regional warranty. Like I mentioned if you are not looking to extend warranty its fine if you buy from them. They are listed as a place of purchase in Malaysia even on asia.playstation.com website. But if you want to extend 2/3 years then no choice you gotta get it from Sony Malaysia.

Like I mentioned the 2 months ps+ and RM20 was preorder gifts. Your new KZ bundle might not have. Those normal sets during preorder also got 1 month ps+ free but people that bought the newer batch got nothing.

I mentioned 3 times already the difference is from Sony store you can extend warranty, focus store can't.

Think abt regional warranty bro.
Regional warranty only valid if the box got regional warranty sticker and also invoice from authorize seller.

Sony Curve and KLCC has 1 to 1 exchange. There was someone with a faulty unit from Curve,they changed it for him immediately after testing.  Only problem that might arise if they have 0 stock for exchanges. I was told that of my unit was faulty, they would change it if they had spare  units with them.  When their second or third batch comes in,  if you have a faulty unit in guessing they will immediately change it for you. So far the ones that have to wait are the ones that have bought SG sets from the importers.

To be honest, I would just go with Sony Store @Curve or Sony Store@KLCC. If anothing is wrong with your unit go back directly to them to test and you'll get a replacement if there's a problem. It appears that they don't entertain 1to1 replacements if you don't buy from them, regardless of whether the warranty is legit or not.

It will be SEA region warranty unless the retailer got you a console that is not from SEA. You can check by calling PlayStation Asia and direct to Warranty Department, simply by giving your serial number.

The best way is to ask the retailer yourself. Ask them is the console under SEA warranty because they might give you console from HK (it's cheaper at HK). Or you can get the serial number and call to PlayStation Asia to check.

Always get a receipt.

Also ask them what if the console is broken. Do you get 1 to 1 replacement from the retailer itself, or do you need to go to SONY (Some retailer will do 1to1 exchange). And how long is the process.

No harm asking more because you are paying a lot on it.
