Hi guys,
I got a PS4 US set and it was working fine for a while except that i noticed the screen flickers from time to time. I ignored it at that time as i was finishing up some games on the PS3. Yesterday, i hooked up the PS4 and updated 1.52 firmware plus updated COD:Ghost and then i got a blank screen. As such, i cannot access my PS4 settings as all i get is a blank screen that flickers sometimes.
Read on other forums that it is happening to some other ppl too. Anyone from lowyat having the same issues?'
I think the problem could be the PS4 HDMI handshake problem. This happens mostly to ppl (read on other forums) that connects their PS4 via HDMI to a receiver (my TV has no HDMI input). I have tested with multiple HDMI cables and same thing. I have also brought my PS4 to a friend's house where i connected to their HDTV via HDMI directly and no issues at all. I have also tested connecting my VITA to my PS4 via remote play and no issues. So i know that it is definitely an HDMI issue that could have been caused by the recent firmware upgrade.
Anyone can help shed sone light on this?
Seems like i can either wait for new firmware to hopefully fix this or buy a new TV. Sigh.
Regards,
Gnooh
