There are always going to be units with defects. Out of those that buy it, some will be lucky to escape it, and some will not. It's not a wide spread issue that is affecting the majority of their consoles. Just a small percentage of units, out of 2.1 million + however many sold in ASIA, that's pretty decent.

I'm sure it's pretty frustrating to those that are experiencing the issue, I know how it feels to want something bad, then get it to find out it doesn't work. Then there's the issue of figuring out the warranty if you decided to get it from a source other than the official Sony Stores in Malaysia. Then waiting for them to update you accordingly (while they take their own sweet protocol related time). It's a definite time waster and it messes with your emotions.

But you can wait till March, or even wait till the 9th batch or production from the factories from wherever and you'll find that there will still be units with defects and you might still be unlucky enough to suffer it. To be honest, no use waiting forever because there's always going to be units that will be DOA or just problematic. It's electronics, what can you do? Goes for every electronic product out there, smartphones, televisions, tablets, etc.

So stop worrying so much, when the shit hits the fan, then run for cover and do whatever you have to do. Till then, just get the PS4. Order it from wherever.

here's something to look forward to next year. But I don't see Uncharted 4... and some games are not for PS4....

Speaking of looking forward, Metal Gear Solid should be one of it.

actually, I used the same exact CM laptop cooler and it actually does cool my laptop. The laptop cooler's frame insulates the cold and enhance it with the 3 fans underneath it. If you are in an air condition room, it will become cooler. Not that significant but it helps nonetheless.
