Strange problem every time the phone starts up after I reboot. It says "unfortunately Download music info has stopped".

I discovered this after I deleted a number of stock apps. But before that, I used Titanium Backup to freeze the apps. During the freeze time, everything seem to be fine. I did a Nandroid backup after that.

After I discovered the problem, I restored from my Nandroid backup but the message pop up again. I updated the Walkman app and it can play music but the message is still there after reboot.

Any idea how to work around this?

Hi all~

Not sure if this question was posted before but couldnt find anything related to it.
Just wondering, is there an option to view the pictures that you take (using camera) when in WHatsapp before the app sends it?
Seems that my whatsapp will jus send the photo taken without giving me the option to retake...

>.<
Thanks~!

I always take a photo with the camera app then see if I'm satisfied with it before attaching it in whatsapp.

Ok guys, I must have done too much app freezing. My camera app wouldn't start up anymore. So what I intend to do is to re-flash Nut's .290. Just to confirm, I don't need to downgrade my firmware, right?

To those who often read-up xda-developers, you may have seen this:

http://www.xda-developers.com/android/get-...with-intelli3g/

So far, it's working great on my 4.3 .290 firmware - standby time has noticeably improved, but I will put it to the usability test tomorrow smile.gif

How is it working for you so far?

anyone felt that after upgrade to 4.3, the phhone got warmer than b4? yesterday i on my wifi and left my phone on the bed (not downloading or running any apps). 1 hour later i hold my phone and it felt warm...

and is it true that with the queue background data ticked, we will receive whatapps message late?
*
I have queue background data ticked and Whatsapp messages arrive very timely. I don't play games on my phone but when I'm using Chrome, it gets quite warm quickly. I haven't tried other browsers though.

Not too bad - you'd save quite a bit when you're on standby or on WiFi as you will stay on 2G when it is not needed. On screen unlock it will jump back to 3G/LTE immediately after. Do play around the settings a little as you drain more battery switching from 3G to 2G too often.

I'd say this is a very good app without interfering too much - give it a try. smile.gif
*
Which 3G/4G mode did you select? I select LTE, GSM/WCDMA. Is this correct for Maxis?

Anyone here use Tasker or a CPU manager to slow down the CPU to save battery? I'm trying to find out how to reduce the clock speed while the screen is off and bring it back to normal when the screen is on.

Just follow the video guide from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2572988

It practically held my hand through the whole rooting process.

not exactly right, underclock the cpu definitely going to save some juice.. underclock the max freq to 1728 and u'll see noticeable reduction on heating.. less heat less juice burn out..

anyway,@Bernard Yeo u can try 'No Frills CPU Control' app..
set
min freq: 300
max freq: 1728
IO scheduler: Row
Governor: OnDemand, or something else u want..
*
I imported some Tasker CPU profiles off http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1018245. Modified a bit for Z1. Will inform how the battery performs.

BTW, what about changing max freq to 2150?

Rooted but everything is stock. Did not freeze or uninstall any system apps in 4.2 or 4.3

Maybe it's because of certain app that you use that got updated by the developer but somehow which sophistication comes more memory usage. I noticed Google Chrome heats up the phone. Now I'm trying Next Browser. It takes up less memory but lets see if it uses as much battery as Chrome.

Try Next Browser. It's faster than Chrome and uses less RAM. To sync Chrome bookmarks you'll need to install the Next Browser sync from the Chrome Store on your PC.

What Facebook client are you all using on the phone?

I updated the firmware using Nut's instructions on xda forum. I didn't wipe my data or internal storage. Camera seems to start up faster. But on every reboot, I get a pop up 'Android is upgrading'. Got any idea what to do to fix?

Guys, are there any mods to the stock phone app that displays answer and reject buttons instead of slide to answer?

I know there are other phone apps that take over incoming call handling like full screen caller that has answer and reject buttons but I rather not use those if possible.

go playstore look for "gesture call" i believe this is the one u looking for..
there are tons out there..look for the one suit u best

Not really what I'm looking for, because I rather have answer / reject buttons rather than gestures. If there's no mods for the stock phone app, then I might as well use some full screen caller app.

Another question I have is for those still on .290. I cannot remember for sure but was the stock phone app on .290 T9 enabled? As in you can search for contacts using the T9 method? I've just updated to the latest firmware and noticed this is not possible and is there anyway to enable it?
