About Update Patch 2.3.5100
This is an incremental update and includes all changes since version 2.2
- artwork retrieval from Google has been fixed to work with changes made by Google
- Gracenote has been added as a provider for artwork, lyrics and tags. You will need enable gracenote in the Tags(2) preferences panel - its recommended you do as gracenote seems a very good source for artwork and lyrics
- OPUS is now supported for encoding in the File Converter preferences. You need to get a copy of the encoder yourself from http://opus-codec.org/

- includes a number of enhancements to support new skinning features
- thumbnail browser now supports larger thumbnails - you may need to reset the size setting
- hotkeys to toggle display of the left and right panels
- theater mode has been enhanced to support new features and should be faster and have smoother fading for some of the more complex skins
- this is the final planned v2.3 update other than bug fixes

- remove Shoutcast from the radio station directory as they have made some changes that cause MusicBee to no longer work
- updated some of the theater mode skins

this is an incremental update and includes all changes since version 2.3 - unzip and then run MusicBee_Setup_2_4_5227.exe

- "expanded view" in the artwork layout for albums - when you click on an album the album tracks and cover display immediately below the clicked album (similar to the iTunes 11 functionality). Enabled in the Artwork layout preferences.
- you can tweak the configuration and disable auto-colouring by right clicking the "expanded view" panel/ Configure Layout
- if you prefer the old method of double clicking an album cover to drill-down and view the tracks, that can be re-enabled in the Artwork Layout preferences
- media keys should now work without the need for the "media keys" plugin
- support for searching and playing internet tracks via soundcloud
- google artwork and musicbrainz album searches have been adjusted and should work again
- improved and fixed handling for winamp visualisers and support for "desktop mode" with other visualisers
- "All Subscriptions" node in the Podcasts panel that shows all downloaded and unplayed podcasts
- support for podcast subscriptions that require a username and password
- country/ location based internet radio station directory using dar.fm
- the "Now Playing Assistant" layout has been improved
- option to exclude importing video files via the library folder monitor
- the main panel text search now has the option to include using the filename in the search
- the playlist mixer has been enhanced:
- you can specify a shuffle type (random, recently added, higher rated etc) for each criteria
- you can specify whether each criteria selects by track or by album
- you can specify that the entire playlist mix is shuffled or each criteria is played in sequence (as now)
- the file converter now supports down-sampling to 44.1K for higher sample rate source tracks
- new $RSplit() function that is similar to the $Split() function but the offset is reversed
- "Skip Silence" dsp plugin that automatically skips gaps in the middle of files
- the volume analysis tool has been enhanced to give better feedback and control when peaks would be clipped as a result of the calculated replay gain value being applied

- you can click on an artist and the albums for that artist are displayed in the expanded panel. Clicking on on album then shows the details for that album
- you can sort albums by year: right click on the expanded panel/ Configure Layout/ Sort Albums by Year
- a number of GUI glithes with the panel have been fixed
