i remember someone ask, is it worth to get a set of forged rims on inspira?
here is the beauti of forged rims by rays  brows.gif

the downside of these rims were too expensive, even the used set also asking 4k and above (new set 8k and above)
doh.gif  doh.gif

but of course,if u hit potholes like mad on malaysia rally condition road it will still dented. that's why not to use a too low profile tyre for your rim, it act like a cushion to it  nod.gif

I was the one who asked tongue.gif nice vid btw. I still tga considering rim. 16 inch is too small for inspira. Even my mom says so sad.gif

Just want some opinion. If SSR type C 18 inch 7.5jj 2nd hand with tyre michelin ps3 80% thread for rm5k okay x??

for me , no,
1. 18 tyre profile too low, tyre heavy , even u get the lightest one around , still weight about 8kg at least , and tyre also abt 1kg more, my combo at least lighter by 1.5kg tongue.gif

2. type c famous for too light weight and easily dented , go google up then u know, semi forged rim, thats why after ssr bought by tanabe they came out with type c rs later
*
Yea 18 inch tyre mmg a bit heavy. But i think inspira/lancer mmg masuk with 18 inch. 17 can tp tyre have to have higher sidewalls nk fill fender gap plus if lowered even better smile.gif

I think ssr use semi solid forging, not semi forging.not an inferior method, but a different type. I saw an article at lowyat explaing this but cannot remember where.

for me, 18 on inspira, purely for look , all i wanted was lighter unsprung mass  tongue.gif  car faster , brake better
if u compares SSR method of forging, it's more like a enkei MAT technology which is licensed to advanti, thats why i said not worth the price, but ssr type c one of the lightest rim around, its being ceased production cause many people complained that it was ways too easy to bend

hey guys, my continental cc5 tires are going to wear out soon so i need to change them.

can recommend other tire brands that are better than conti cc5 in the following categories?
- comfort
- silent
- fuel efficient

i heard about neuton nt8000, but not sure how it fares in the above categories against conti CC5. pls advise.

edit: my tire size is 205/60/R16
*
I just change to achilles ATR sport 2 235/40/18.

-good grip dry
-good grip wet. Test today. Kl rain mcm org gila dari ptg sampai malam.
-threadware good, 400.last u long time biggrin.gif
-cheap. Rm380 at jb. Buy in kl at PTS tyre rm360

Bad
-slightly noisy compared to stock tyre.
-less comfortable, but i don't think because of tyre, lower profile tyre konfem la less comfort.

Bro lancer GT rim heavy sad.gif 13 kilo i timbang, but on the upside very strong.

QUOTE(supersound @ Feb 4 2014, 11:20 AM)
I still prefer 16" rims, cheaper tires.
Yeah, may consider the R3, but where to get?
I'm not that rich, if rich enough I already forget about Proton and get other cars. Just that I got cheated all the time on getting second hand stuffs, so no more second hand for me.
*
Contact via whatsapp Anas, head of the R3 divisio to get the rims.

0123739294 he might be able to hook you up with a discount. Plus if i'm not mistaken got promotion CNY until 14 feb.

Got my r3 enkei tuning rim from him.

Good luck wink.gif

R3 lims is from Advanti/avanti dunno which 1 is correct spelling.
can go to COSE, Shah ALam, KESAS there

Advanti Y spoke rim no longer in stocm last time i ask. Got the enkei tuning SC24 gun metal one only.

Keep in mind that the enkei jj is 8 while the advanti is 7.5.so the enkei are slightly wider.
