QUOTE(jayraptor @ Jan 6 2014, 02:48 PM) Check again, why would you always change people's comment? Apart from the rim and bodykit, the answer lies in suspension and chassis. Go find out yourself if you're so smart. Also, why are you taking the downgraded Lancer GT for comparison? RUBBISH..now i understand why people call you professor already... |

at 13k milage, first sign of problem to my car...stupid 2.0 cvt!
should have stay with MT for the rest of my life... problem: At P position, after starting the engine, when press on the brake to change from P to D or R, clicking sound can be heard from the shifter. if you hold on to the stick, you can feel the mechanical releasing the lock upon pressing on the brake and loud click... hopefully is just something that came loose and nothing major.. |

QUOTE(botack @ Jan 15 2014, 10:34 AM) Nope, you're wrong, you should have won that scooby and sell this lala.. haha, i have not give up on the scooby and will try harder this year! will sent for checking lor... Better get it check at the nearest SC.. QUOTE(edison1437 @ Jan 15 2014, 11:07 AM) possible for you to record the sound? it is an obvious sound from P when unlock after pressing the brake. even if you dont shift the P and press only brake, the click sound will appear each time you press. never had this before...only yest night got this sympton.. i know ehn at P if you press brake will have mechanical sound releasing shift lock so that you can move from P to others but you said there were loud sound when shift R to D or D to R I never have this from (D to R) or (R to D), this is normal and no sound. |

QUOTE(calvin_ng @ Jan 15 2014, 11:14 AM) Thats the sound of Breake pin lock yeah i know, but something must have gone wrong to the pin or out of position...very loud click even if i dont shift the P and only pressing the brake each time. also can feel the shift jerk/tremble.When you hit the brake (assume your gear position is P) the pin will release and you can move your gear... if you dont hit the brake, the gear will remain in P and you cannot move... the click sound is the pin lock.... all automatic (new car) have this as part of safety feature... never had this before until yesterday night..... |

QUOTE(SothysSaleShop @ Jan 15 2014, 01:47 PM) bro, as a 2010 2.0CVT owner speaking from experience, that click sound has always been there , just that you haven't given it any thought before hence you kinda ignored it until now , well maybe u are busy looking at your rev meter while driving how about after start the engine, just press on the brake while still on P. will you hear obvious click on the shifter? i am talking about stationery and nothing on moving or rev. imagine everytime you pump the brake, the loud click sound appear.. |

QUOTE(SothysSaleShop @ Jan 15 2014, 02:15 PM) bro after starting the engine, yes it's always there if your gear is in P position and if u keep pumping your brakes like a madman of course u will keep hearing it lock and unlock la.... the purpose is to unlock your gear when brakes are applied so u can engage your gear to other position not by accident, a good safety feature, during at R, N or D there are no sound when u press your brakes... yeap, extremely loud noise can be heard..since can increase performance then ma ignore lo..+5hpso are you saying it's too loud for your preference? and all I am saying the sound is there and good luck telling proton you want it quieter and just in case if u didn't know, lynspira says sounds = performance QUOTE(ckk125 @ Jan 15 2014, 02:20 PM) yes la....can change to MT |
