bro, need to check with you.

at that maluri SC, did they write down you bring own oil at your booklet?

i called the manager of that sc (apparently is a friend of my SA too as he recommended me that person, and so ngam he is the manager of maluri SC) and he mention can is can, however they will note it down, and if let's say touch wood engine got issue, and they open up showing signs caused by engine oil (which they most likely will point finger to the engine oil lol) then it's voided. (on said specific engine parts that is caused by the engine oil)

so is this true for you?

personally, i don't see it as an issue since the EO i will be using will be more expensive than proton and is con9lan7fim better with API SN certification. and if got issue, can consider it as an excuse to plonk in 4B11 whistling.gif

thought this might be good information to share to other owners in case they get sudden surprises nod.gif
*
sorry late..

been bz with my thesis..

yes, they did..
anything happens with engine is our fault...

haha...send regards to manager..LOL

np bro...

understandable on that, however so long you know what you're doing and keeping things in moderation, things should be fine biggrin.gif

btw the manager seems very down to earth, he's ok in arranging a test session with me to solve my problem biggrin.gif
and they allow me to go observe my car while they work on it even though it's just a simple oil change... get to chat with the mech too haha

ended up chatting on EO/performance mods, and how another lala driver got up car'd on wasting 10-15k or more in mods just to get fed up and have everything reverted to stock at this very SC sweat.gif
*
Thx for wise word..hehe..

really..dats nice..

will go observe my car next time..haha..

later we service here together wink.gif

The different I noticed was HT/HS value of different grad of oil. smile.gif
If you rev your engine often and longer, should choice the HT/HS value higher one.

we don't have winter, value before w can be ignored (which is why i just type xw20)

if you want, can try mixing xw20 and xw30 of the same model/brand engine oil wink.gif

yeah, its mineral oil only..

QUOTE(MeToo @ Jan 15 2014, 03:03 PM)
For sure they put in the database, cause they will get queried why there is not "sales" of engine oil during the service.

Hence I have explained previously, if you "buy" their oil, you can keep it and request they put in YOUR oil into the car instead, they will NOT put a remark in that case.

At the end of the day, they are just concern about the sales/profit of the oil.

Agree on this...

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Feb 1 2014, 08:51 PM)
As in the rpm la. Like you said lo,  clutch wear lo

While lighter cars wouldn't have much problems as the car can move with less effort (due to lighter weight)

Of course,  the throttle would help as whatever your foot inputs is what you get,  versus a delay with Dbw systems.

It's basically a difference of lan gaming versus online gaming on us servers.
Eventually you'd get used to it, however it'll take time for any new drivers
