That means you got an authenthic Proton.

As TD mentioned, its the weather sheet plastic INSIDE the door panel/cover that should not be removed. Not the plastic covering the external door panel. Itu new car plastic, can tear anytime. Same with cars of all makes.

But rims later got one colour only. Cannot match. 

Can you describe the sound you hear from the dashboard? Does it go like "krink krink krink krink softly?" What do you mean the sound for the key in ignition and the reverse sensor has changed? How does it sound like now?

There's nothing much to learn about the Persona (Elegance), aside from it being a Proton.

List of some of the issues that may occur:
i) IAFM issue ("tak tak tak" sound that increases with rev increase), whether or not it affects the performance is situational (i.e depending on car, some experience performance loss, some say just noise).
ii) Power window issue (for some, e.g not working, sound when rolling up/down).
iii) Power steering whirring sound (when turning with the car either moving or stopped); usually solved by replacing the power steering fluid.
iv) Air-cond module switch issue (Blower turns on/off by itself, readjusts its own speed w/o any input from user, etc; not many Persona seem to be affected by this.)
v) Battery death within a year or less, or less than one and a half year.

dun forget Compro engine prefer Petrol Caltex, BHP and Petron, try to avoid Petronas and Shell, my >3 years PE still can easily feel the different between Caltex and Petron.
