Got my SV for 6 days now.
Happy with the car.
Consumption is the main issue as of now.

Indeed you are right.

I read someone posted about not to remove the plastic wrapping on the front 2 doors to avoid water leakin into the car?

Is that correct?

How to improve the FC of this car?

Any other SV users out there?

As TD mentioned, its the weather sheet plastic INSIDE the door panel/cover that should not be removed. Not the plastic covering the external door panel. Itu new car plastic, can tear anytime. Same with cars of all makes.

Thanks bro.
Notice that when I tear that plastic wrapping out, some black colour sticky thing came out n cant seemt to remove all of the plastic sheet. Quite worried might suffer water leakage in the future.

Is there any pantang larang for new car? Like no rev up to 3rpm while under 1000km?
Because I have done quite a number of times.
Worried this is not good for new engine that needs time n mileage to run in.
Pls advice dear sifus.

Done with service yesterday. RM 131 in Puchong service centre.
Told them about the niggling sound heard in dashboard, first few KM very good. Next few KM all come back. haih...same same...
Best part is when you open the door while the key is still inside, have sound rite? the sound also changed. While reverse sensor also changed sound. Hahaha... but the door are much easier to closed after telling them about it.
The gear are much better to engage in after service as well.
Overall, not bad but nothing great to shout about.
Looking forward for a TT with seniors sekalian to learn about PERSONA.

Can you describe the sound you hear from the dashboard? Does it go like "krink krink krink krink softly?" What do you mean the sound for the key in ignition and the reverse sensor has changed? How does it sound like now?

There's nothing much to learn about the Persona (Elegance), aside from it being a Proton.

List of some of the issues that may occur:
i) IAFM issue ("tak tak tak" sound that increases with rev increase), whether or not it affects the performance is situational (i.e depending on car, some experience performance loss, some say just noise).
ii) Power window issue (for some, e.g not working, sound when rolling up/down).
iii) Power steering whirring sound (when turning with the car either moving or stopped); usually solved by replacing the power steering fluid.
iv) Air-cond module switch issue (Blower turns on/off by itself, readjusts its own speed w/o any input from user, etc; not many Persona seem to be affected by this.)
v) Battery death within a year or less, or less than one and a half year.
*
The sound is very soft now.
More to "gek gek gek" sometimes from aircond, sometimes during corner, sometimes driving straight road.
Luckily the sound system are quite good so I usually pump up the volume and listen to songs rather than this annoying sounds.
When the key is in ignition while you open door, there's a sound right?
My sound after service sort of gone deeper, before this is sharper tone. Now more bass in it. rclxub.gif

Power window no problem.
IAFM still no sound yet.
Actually quite good la this SV sound proof.
Steerin have sound while turning lo.
Aircond very loud and very cold.
Battery dono yet.

Yes first service, 1000KM!

Where are you located at? Maybe try Maximus Auto Car Care at Kota Damansara?

Why did your friend vomit? You tried going fast with a Proton? brows.gif

Friend got drunk on Friday night and couldn't drive.

So have to be the driver and ended with some extra passenger with us.
Got it washed off and done waxing plus the mist-thing, some nanotech shit.
In Puchong bandar puteri, Cars World.
Satisfied with the wax and the damage is RM 188.

dun forget Compro engine prefer Petrol Caltex, BHP and Petron, try to avoid Petronas and Shell, my >3 years PE still can easily feel the different between Caltex and Petron.
*
Caltex good ah for Persona? Petron is good for Persona?
Bro u pump 97 or 95?
Hehe...i usually pump shell or petronas, dont really press the petal to save fuel so dono the difference.
Just looking for the fuel that gives me the most mileage.
