Air filter can use forever wan unless torn. At most all dust tersumbat in filter, then very little or no air goes in. Performance will be much degraded. Your dad's wira sure can still jalan but I bet performance cipalak...when compared with new filter change.

Proton air filter only abt RM17 only, I change every 10K-15K to maintain tip top performance at all times.  Gua punya City and Civic filters cost at least RM70++. Itu tak tahan change at 10K, so have to go 20K. When you look at the price difference, proton filter really affordable , so change when needed rather than used to max as my Honda's currently does.

Just send to 1st 1000km service at proton sri damansara. Cost me rm201+-. Its that ok. Ask them to fix rear door that hard to close.

We got two ex owners who also got Preve later, mengsuan and Manlet but they all sudah MIA sini.

They will just loosen the door lath, reposition it. I have fixed mine, within 15mins they done the job. Proton QC really got prob.

For RM20 even just to change oil at Proton SC is very cheap liao. 
As for RM60 workmanship for the other service is quite price competitive.

If one can only afford take bus for umpteenth years, waking very early, walking out in the dark, worry can get to work in time coz bus not come on schedule  , get elbowed left and right by tudung wearing ladies when rushing up the bus ,   then got raba-raba buy a pig face man in crowded bus  , etc, getting a PE is like a gift from heaven no matter how buruk the besi is....it gonna beat having no car at all....
