For banana, the extraction will involve alcohol, since the active flavor compound in bananas is not very soluble in water.

Okay fellas, I know I said the most common suggestion will win, but since there weren't really any "common" suggestions, I picked the most interesting one.

I will be making Bandung Ais. It will probably be a mixture of rose syrup, sugar and menthol crystals to simulate the ice effect.

Also, I will be trying banana. Going to use Dole bananas exclusively, and see where this takes me. Ester based flavors seem to be a challenge, and I think it'll be interesting to see what I can do.

I'll be sourcing the components (VG, PG, nicotine) soon. Keep you guys posted.

I don't think I'll need to. Just  tried to use some basic organic chem. If my rusty chem skills are accurate, exposure of polycarbonate to isoamyl acetate (banana flavor) is as follows:

n[-O-(C6H6)-(C-(CH3)2)-(C6H6)-O-(C=O)-] + CH3-(CH-CH3)-CH2-CH2-O-(C=O)-CH3 + H2O ==> -O-(C6H6)-(C-(CH3)2)-(C6H6)-O-(C=O)-O-CH2-CH2-(CH-CH3)-CH3 + CH3(+) + H2O

Again, that's if my skills are accurate as they used to be. Ester with polycarbonate results in the breaking of the polycarbonate chains, and the remaining methyl group (CH3(+)) hydrogen bonds with the oxygen atom in water (H2O).

So, really, you will end up with polycarbonate falling apart. To stop this reaction, we would have to introduce something that is more profitable to isoamyl acetate to react with, which if it happens, will destroy the flavor entirely.

If someone has better organic chem skills, feel free to correct the above.
