It could be a number of reasons why you have a burnt taste.

- Coils overlapping
- Coils have hot spots
- Coil resistance too low for your mod (this is why its important to have an ohm/multi meter)

etc etc. I'd suggest you google around.

let me tell you my setups. i use one strands of wick, and i wind it 2 times with the wire. is this ok?

Dude, before you get into rebuildables, you really need to do your research. It is a potentially dangerous thing to work on.

Go to youtube see how the experts recoil their Kayfun, there's tons. Read up on articles for beginners at e-cig forums, etc.

What Kanthal are you using? 28AWG? 30AWG? 32? 2 wraps on any gauge is dangerous especially for newbies who don't know much. I'd suggest you stop using your mod now, educate yourself better before it explodes at your face.

i just checked with my friend that gave me the wire and he said it is a 26 gauge wire. the name is alien konthol or something. 26 gauge is safer than 32 right?
