QUOTE(DeadRoots @ Nov 4 2021, 05:46 AM) Hi everyone, has anyone used/is currently using Feed brand fishing rods by Lure Haven? Don't quote me on this but I recall one of their salesperson mentioning that its their own brand that outsources materials/manufacturing from Japan. Anyone care to share their experiences with this brand? They are giving out like 50% discount on your next rod if the rod you bought from them breaks. They are very confident with their rod it seems. Never heard of this kind of promo from any other shophttps://pictr.com/images/2021/11/04/Bh79Tv.md.png |

QUOTE(7nuub @ Dec 13 2021, 06:20 PM) Guys looking at overhead reel these days for jigging. Usually I use my spinning rod for jigging and don't have any idea on overhead reel. just watch your gear ratio. dont go above 5:8:1Just want to know is there any reel for slow and fast jig? I'm looking at ocea jigger, ocea conquest, daiwa BJ etc. Anything take support jig size up to 250g. |

QUOTE(7nuub @ Jan 5 2022, 12:40 PM) Thanks, just got my self OC 301hg. 15 for klang shud b good enuf. anyhow klang area dont really need electric haha. Now am looking for an electric reel for bottom, wanted to explore more choice besides leobritz 500JP I wanna ask is it 15kg max drag consider good enough for port Klang bottom? Also the gear ratio is actually does the handle or the electric machine it self? I'm eyeing Shimano Forcemaster 1000 because it has 15kg max drag but I'm not sure if it is enough for port Klang bottom. Anyone wanna share some knowledge regarding spec. but since your buying an electric, shouldnt you go for something better. buy one time use everywhere? what if suddenly u wanna go oil rig fishing where the fish are super big?(example). just my 2 cents. Cheers. |

QUOTE(7nuub @ Jan 6 2022, 01:34 PM) Bro I'm actually against of using electric reel. But bottom in Klang does require that due to very heavy weight stone. If whole day reeling up your self checking baits and all is really tiring. However reeling up the fish with an electric reel really minus 80 percent of the fun haha. gear ratio is when u turn handle how many times the line retrieve in 1 turn. example: turn handle 1 round spool turn 5 times = 5.1. so u see ur line entry there will go up down up down 5 times in 1 spin of the handle. or if spinning style ur spool will turn 5 times in 1 turn of handle. As simple as that. So since u using heavy weights. i suggest u get a slower gear ratio. usually slower ratio for big baits and big fish but in your case u have big stone. lol. with lower gear ratio more power. higher gear ratio is faster but less power. just imagine is like your car gear 1 2 3 4 5. low gear more power but slow. high gear faster but less power. Also thanks for your suggestion, I have no interest in monster fish, just want some fun and able to bring good size fish home to makan. Finding big fish and using electric reel to bring them up really defeat my purpose. Anyways those aside, I'm confused with electric reel spec. Gear ratio on electric reel is for the winding handle or the motor it self? I'm trying to find a lighter electric reel with enough power for port Klang. Light because I might still able to carry it on my hand, feel the fish and strike haha. gear ratio always even for elec reels always is for when u fighting fish u reeling in. not for the motorised thing only. takes everything into acc This post has been edited by kevho: Jan 6 2022, 01:46 PM |
