Man seasickness sucks but there's ways to get over it. Pills and what not but they do make u drowsy.

Island trip should be better if you can see land.
Good luck and dont forget you owe me pics haha

ok guys here's some pictures from my recent trip 3 days 2 nites
landed on sunday

group photo whence we just departed. i'm the blue shirt bald headed eagle biggrin.gif
Attached Image
group photo once we're back at the landing zone. heaviest is keratang (goliath grouper 17kg, tenggiri around 10 to 12kg) boatman caught one moray eel also around 5ft plus long
Attached Image
my super small humble catch. there's another titir 2kg not in the picture cos i sold off to shop since cannot fit my fridge that long..
Attached Image
another member's catch, mine sure can't compare to his
Attached Image
12 ppl, all electric reel except for 3 ppl on manual including me also manual..

first day i seasick badly, no one to guide me what to do plus I don't know any of them before also. eat, drink i puke all out, until the end i decided take nap bit wake up and then sat down puke again, so decided to sleep first until meal time, woke up swallow and drink straight to go sleep til the next day. I lost 50% of my trip cos one whole day mabuk...

only woke up second day and started fishing whole day till nite until rain started pouring, then a small storm came up with lightning, rain and wind, i cooped up in bed, worry and scared to see the wave.. slept until big waves started jolting the boat around bit and by then i can't close eyes dy cos of the rocking

anyway, i was quite blessed, my birthday was at sea and on that day i could fish! hahaha
best fight fish was kerisi bali, first time get it, took me around 3 to 4 min to bring it up from depth of 80M
it was my new personal record of 2.6kg now, crazy fight fish.. it fought from beginning till even surface

felt quite blessed to be back on land... i know my catch is small but at least i could fish 50% from my trip so not all is lost..

thanks bro
sure thing smile.gif
im from sabah here in Kota Kinabalu
trip here costs usually like this
2D 1N = RM2K
3D 2N = RM3K
4D 3N = RM4K

one boat can fit 12 ppl so as long as you can get 12 ppl to go with, you share the cost among the 12 so its around RM250 for my trip (3D 2N)
bfast, lunch and dinner provided by boatmen, bunked beds provided, cooking stove and toilet/bath also available but all very very basic ya
move out first day around 9am and trip back starts as early as 6am to 7am on the last 3rd day as they want to rush to limited docking space, else u end up parking behind another boat. still that doesn't matter as boatmen will help u load and unload ur stuff
ice is provided, bait you have to bring your own
now that i've been on my first trip with them so all these things i know already.. phew

if u meet good captain, they will bring u to lots of takat, else some very bad and lazy. my trip was very good
except ship bit dirty, u sleep at bunked bed, u will certainly get few cockroach sleep with u one, if u get what i mean

oh and on the boat side, they already prepare steel rod holder to show ppl where their positions are so won't quarrel smile.gif
u can bring extra rod holder to play with 2 rods but.. not advisable if both are manual, cos if both tarik, u in trouble so to play with 2 rods better one is electric reel
QUOTE(vin6 @ Jun 14 2016, 02:46 PM)
Nice bro, where was this? mind sharing some additional info on this trip> cost and etc etc ?

QUOTE(FireIceCombo @ Jun 14 2016, 02:59 PM)
aiyah bro, my friend also got motion sickness. why u no tell me u also ? i rekomen u good stuff. its very cheap, confirm effective and also . no pills no medication. i present to you

seasick band. its a strap band. u place on both 2 fingeers down from wrist. thats all. wear only. no pills no medication.

user posted image

for all types of motion sickness including seasickness. can be used for pregnant woman. when my wife was nauseaus that time , she also wear and ok settle, no morning sickness. if u feel uncomfortable with the band, then use your thumb and press press the middle portion of your hand. remember 2 fingers from wrist down. thats the spot u press. that band out in pharmacy AA or guardian is around RM 2-3 only.

hope this helps all motion sickness, seasickness and morning sickness women as well.

ur fren very blessed to have u oh, yeah its very stressful on the body one as u don't get water and food so no nutrition and gets dehydrated easily. if not taken care properly can be bit dangerous. i got no one teach me what to do oh.. end up just go sleep it out and found out after sleep wake up go eat then puke again. so i decided eat drink during the last meal, was dinner dy then straigh go back sleep, cannot sleep also paksa cos i can't lose any more fluid or food. haih, but im thankful cos i manage to think like that and got thru it
i kesian ur fren also 2 days puke, not easy on body oh..

and one more thing, my 2nd day my legs and hand easily cramp.. not enuf fluid. that is the sign. so 100 plus drinks a must and maybe bring some salt too. now i learn the hard way. but still keep on fishing after drink few more rounds of hot coffee then slowly cramps go away.. i was so worried if big fish pull and my leg cramp.. sweat.gif
QUOTE(FireIceCombo @ Jun 14 2016, 03:15 PM)
eh no problem. all info must share share. if not fishing with motionsickness is very uncomfortable. i saw my friend puke non stop before. i beh tahan so i press press for him. after 20 minutes ok liao. but every few hour need keep pressing for him. so damn tiring. imagine 2night on board have to keep pressing using my thumb. straight next time i went pharmacy buy him the strap band then settle liao.

ah ic, then my case maybe worse, i puked no matter boat travel or stop dy that time, after puke better but then after 5 min sit down the feeling in ur gut or stomach is like twisting again and wana do another round soon but have to wait the volcano erupt..
i will definitely try the band later

oh ya the water really important, to me at least, im quite plump and sweat a lot so water is big issue for me. got one guy ran out of water, lucky he manage to get from others that have extra, no joke. water is gold in the sea...its good u brought big tong bro, it really helps

eh btw, guys, how to diff a titir and a barracuda, the 2 fish looks the same to me
i think i sold my barracuda as a titir price instead, no wonder the shop terus wana buy no bargain... doh.gif
QUOTE(FireIceCombo @ Jun 14 2016, 03:34 PM)
no la he didnt puke 2 days. just the first 1 hour+ journey on boat. i didnt know he motion sickness if not i earlier go pharmacy buy the strap band for him. so i had to use my thumb to press his wrist part whenever i can lor. then the rest of us take turns. off and on he will be ok as long as he keep pressure on the wrist part.

yah, water is essential. ppl always laff at me bring the big tong of water. end up they also use la.

yeah seems rate here is cheaper compared to there in west i think
but if i join this duno if i should go with apolo or just bottom leader. cos during my trip, night is usually calm one and got bite once a while, daytime more bites
but the big ones were caught during night time..
i wonder if this applies same to beside pulau pulau trip

i think this is a good idea if lots of kaki that always go pancing but i guess depends on location?
i'm in few fishing watsapp group as well so can get to know deep sea trips, bagang/tukun, nearby island, ponds, fishing competition etc
of course it will stray away once in a while or most the time which also keeps the group alive

i based in sabah so not ngam for me, u all go ahead bah
QUOTE(vin6 @ Jul 14 2016, 11:17 AM)
Guys,

Just a suggestion , If everyone agrees i would like to host a whatapps group for lowyat anglers for purpose below:

i) Planninng for fishing trips , easy feedback and fast response .
ii) Quick discussion or advice need on fishing equipments or trips
iii) And many more we can think of later.

So please let me know your thoughts , the more the merrier. Dont worry you can silent this group and dismiss its notification so it doesnt annoy you if that concerns you.
