QUOTE(fishon @ Jun 29 2014, 07:09 PM) Is that because you're using cheap braid? I've had Powerpro's for 2 years using in saltwater and it's still fine. Lol..cant wait to use my 5lb powerpro braided on some monsters Bought some cheap braid....80'lb......and it snapped whilst fighting a mekong. 30lb powerpro main line was fine.... There a famous tackle shop in rawang.item range Should be sufficient for a beginner, don't aim for expensive stuff right at the start.its better to head straight to the tackle-shop,ask the staff for their recommendation.if you doubted their words/price offered, you can always share with us your probs,i believe theres alot SIFUsss here are willing to help out.
who knows you might get bored after a few times after fishing at paypond.that's the least i could advice. This post has been edited by vioxmonsta: Jul 1 2014, 09:21 AM |

QUOTE(Einjahr @ Jul 11 2014, 03:48 PM) Yup.just rinse properly after using.tighten the drag(lock dead) and rinse for 1-2mins,then hold the reel try swinging out all the waters last step loosen the drag(free drag) let dry itself.thats what i did after fishing after fishing in salt water ponds. |

QUOTE(slimfox @ Jul 30 2014, 05:58 AM) where is the natural water pool pond? Is the fish there good fighters? also what is the damage there (hopefully cheaper than exotic)? I believe its free in batang berjuntai, big tomans/patin/haruan or mayb kelah/tapah along the sungai selangor.stil a good place to explore but the worst thing u never wanted it to happen is to bump into wild bandit, they'll rob everthing from you including your fishing gears n mayb add few slash of scar on your face.if the cash in your wallet doesnt pays off the bills. This post has been edited by vioxmonsta: Jul 30 2014, 01:37 PM |

QUOTE(runeX @ Aug 15 2014, 08:05 AM) again i'll said.....is it necessary to spend 600+ on a spinning reel. I used my antares for tilipia..btw my antares is rm1800,my rod abu garcia hornet rm600 and the tilipia is 600grams.can ah bro?forgive me for being rude.....yeah I've read the spec.... http://www.quantumfishing.com/products/1904/Cabo-PTs.aspx seriously what kind of fish is he planning to catch it with? bull shark? we don't have those here... QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Aug 15 2014, 01:51 PM) You are questioning people when you are using lpbc for surf fishing? Perhaps he nvr did had the chance of using high end gears before.show him some mercy please.you are not forgiven for being rude but you are forgiven for being ignorant. QUOTE(kayent @ Aug 15 2014, 06:04 PM) my 2 cents, i think at the end personal satisfaction la. if u have no budget, skies the limit. just how would u like to enjoy ur fishing and the type of fishing u do Well said yes u can spend on a cheap setup but the question of durability comes to play. cheap doesn't mean it will breakdown faster, but then again there's always a risk i've used cheap setups before, yes they get the job done. but beware that one day will come when u lost that trophy fish because ur gear malfunctioned or failed on you there's a reason why some fishing equipment are so high priced and why ppl are willing to fork out money for good gear. those who have will know why PS: stella is like butter...with 'poison' in it This post has been edited by vioxmonsta: Aug 15 2014, 08:34 PM |

QUOTE(runeX @ Sep 1 2014, 09:00 PM) what your line poundage anyway bro?you seems lacked confidences in your gears/terminal tackles on 500grams fish get a good braided line 10lbs line can fit in 250yards on the banax starion 300(paiseh,don have the 200 model)..that is morethan sufficient for 0.5-2kg fish.
