reduce your braking system no and your tension knob tightness. then swing it out with both hand.

works for me

a guide line to remember when twerking a baitcasting reel is always twerk your braking system before your tension knob.
your tension know should be kept tight at all time.
why?
the tighter you set your tension knob the more likely you would screwed yourself.

i'm plan to go fishing at SW jurassic located at sepang.  Can anyone recommend me what type of rod and reel to go for fishing at there.  I have ryobi ecusima 2000 & ryobi AP power 8000.  I do plan to buy a rod.  i have 1 rod which is Jigging PE6(5.8ft Drag: Max is 10kg, Line: Max Pe6) and another rod is 6ft" Line 8~15lbs, lure is 7~15g)  Kindly advise me. thank you

ryobi 2000 amd 6ft rod 8-15ibs will do. use soft plastic and zerek plastic prawn. There all lazy fish now. Don't want to chase anything at all.

here's a list of the fish I hate having on the end of my line or encountered during my trip.

jarbua terapon. I call it killer. seriously annoying fish. it'll steal your bait and only on rare occasion can you actually hook it. then there is that part that I has lots of thorn...


lunartail pufferfish. another annoying fish. I don't usually encounter them. but when I do. I usually killed it. they got the tendency to snap fish line......stupid fish......


spotnape ponyfish. it looks nice. but its another pointless catch. they don't have much to eat nor do they make a decent specimen in your fish tank. they don't last long in captivity


then there r those penang locals......fish i'm sure to catch when ever I fish in penang beach or wharf. what ever the hell you want to call it

quest to catch an alligator gar at sek24 until now really (
not trying to catch a mekong like most of them are.

so far all my live baits (lampam / talapia/ keli) kena sapu by chao praya, catfish, toman or pacu. how to catch that damn gar?!! ggrrrrr!!!
any advise sifus? what is the suitable timing? which spot?

my setup is float with an additional line hooked on the live bait as i read that gar normally go up to makan. correct me if i'm wrong.

to those dudes that says heavier sinkers help to increase casting distance..............
lets just say it doesn't work for me. doesn't matter what rod I used.

for examples :
33g / no.6 oblong sinker allow me to cast 90% of the line I had in my pinnacle inertia reel which is mounted on a crap 9ft suft rod ( I got for rm100+ )
but when I increase the sinker weight to 40g. instead of increase my casting distance, it reduce it to at least 10-15% of my casting distance.

Boating cost : regular 15ft RM250 per day for 2 pax (with guide 3 person on board)
Another bigger boat available for 3 pax going RM350 per day (with guide 4 person on board)

Food/motel/ transportation cost shared and split cost.
2 days fishing will cost bout 400-500 per pax depending on how much you eat and what hotel you use or how many cars going on the trip.
