Hi everyone, firstly Happy CNY.

I need to get my son's S3 charging port repaired/replaced as it is spoilt. Warranty is over. Can you guys recommend someone with reasonable charges I can go to? And roughly how much would it be? If in PJ will even be better.

TQ.

I paid RM70/= for it repaired or replaced. 1 hour job so walk around Lowyat while they fix it. Works like new after that.

i've been using my s3 with 3000mAh battery,
constantly getting great battery usage.
i use my phone even more than previously. and it NEVER once died due to lack of juice during the day.

every night i sleep still have 20-30%, thats with 1.5+ hour voice call and 4+ hours SOT.

what i'm trying to say is, having a big battery that can give >5 hours sot on a single charge is sufficient.
rather than having 2 small battery.

my average battery life. posted before previously.

Hi,

Using Titanium Pro update.zip recovery for the first time when upgrading from Slimbean 4.3 to Slimkat 4.4.2. It works just fine. Struggle a bit because there was not instruction that you should Flash New ROM runs phone setup to default, root then install Titanium then CWM to update and VIOLA everything comes back. A few apps like Waze I have to uninstall an reinstall, clock I have to delete / clear cache before it works.

Slimkat 4.4.2 build 3 rocks smile.gif

Seems to be slightly faster, not sure if it is the new ROM effect but it is stable so far no issues.

I manage to restore the efs partition and got an S3 to boot but the IMEI is generic so cannot register network sad.gif any solution. I have the IMEI as this is an original Samsung S3.

1. why restore efs?
2 you on custom or stock?
3. your efs is 4.1.2 or 4.3 one?
*
S3 was return by a staff that left the company it was later found to have the /efs partition error and boot loop at Samsung Logo. I tried many method of flashing back to stock and recovery firmware. All failed except have not sent back to Samsung because the screen also has a hairline crack on the glass. So if I can get the phone up then may consider replacing the screen.

I tried the youtube tip that got me to use an i9100 efs restore and after that I am able to boot. Everything is working now except that it cannot register network due to the IMEI issue.
