QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Feb 4 2014, 09:23 AM) Just updated my partner's phone via OTA and mine via KIES.. it is recommended to perform a full wipe (data, cache, dalvik cache) if there is major upgrading from one version to another version.Seems like more laggier than 4.1.2 If i root the phone again, which app is safe to remove? for bloatwares, refer page 1 |

came across a friend's s3 who keep restarting randomly for no reason..
note that it's not boot loop, the phone was able to start up properly. the reboot comes in randomly after the phone got boot up completely. i helped him to do a clean flash for the stock rom and stock kernel.. but problem persist.. weird.. any thoughts on this? QUOTE(mtxx @ Feb 23 2014, 11:55 AM) I did not simply assume is battery problem hoping U buy my battery. But if you already try clean install, then should be battery issue. My friend note 1 and s2 also have weird reboot. I help them factory reset but still same. They bought new battery from Brotan, then no longer have random reboot. Brotan from garage sales sells good battery. Rm 39 if not mistaken, but no NFC. QUOTE(tigerporc @ Feb 23 2014, 12:49 PM) dun worry there bro.. these are just exactly the opinions i need to troubleshoot the phone prob..thanks for the input again. will try to look into battery issue and update later. QUOTE(kinjiokia @ Feb 24 2014, 12:33 AM) anyone can link me to CWM tar... file... latest version, i only know use pc with odin... bos just flash using cwm.. it's better and faster than odin..flashable i dont know... tar pls i want try temasek believe me.. go learn it from youtube, it's pretty easy before u do anything, backup dulu it's the same as the link provided by the bro above http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797109 this is what u do according to the link above. Step 1: Install cwm recovery » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Step 2: put ur downloaded rom (which is in zip file) into internal/external sd card, wipe data, cache and dalvik, then flash the zip in cwm recovery » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Step 3: Flash one of the temasek kernel, or go download boeffla omnirom kernel, flash it via the same way as in step 2. Step 4: Flash the google apps provided by temasek also, method same as step 2. viola~ *do it on ur own risk, i'm not responsible if u brick ur phone* This post has been edited by calvin_kenni: Feb 24 2014, 01:21 AM |
