Better check properly for 2nd hand unit.. Nowaday clone unit is many on the market..
The easiest way to differentiate genuine S3 and clone S3 is genuine one used AMOLED display which has good contrast and the color reproduction tend to oversaturated especially green color whereas clone S3 usually used normal LED display, TFT-LED display or LCD display ( LCD seem to be more brighter than AMOLED ), am I right? Anyway, thank you for reminding me .

1. What is your budget?
2. Do you have a unit ready to buy and how much?
3. Check all parts are SME
4. Call SME to verify the IMEI number
5. 4.3 is not in malaysia
6. Smoother depending on individual
7. Free RAM depending how you use the phone
8. Battery is various from one to another.
1.My budget is around RM 700 - RM 920. Since the day my lovely S Advance was lost (stolen), I think I should not buy a smartphone with price RM1K and above. You see, once bitten, twice shy.
2. But android 4.3 other countries firmware can be flash through ODIN, right? Anyone who had flash the new India firmware, can you share your experience in here?

Android 4.3 rom is depend on which rom type you want. AOSP rom 4.2.2-4.4.2 is less memory usage and smooth compare to Samsung 4.3 stock/custom rom.
But as far as I know lack of support such as HDMI and etc.
As for S3 battery, It is highly recommended to get extended battery from Samsung or good battery manufacturer.
Can you recommend some of the good extended battery brand (battery with NFC )?
