1.My budget is around RM 700 - RM 920. Since the day my lovely S Advance was lost (stolen), I think I should not buy a smartphone with price RM1K and above. You see, once bitten, twice shy.
2. But android 4.3 other countries firmware can be flash through ODIN, right? Anyone who had flash the new India firmware, can you share your experience in here?

knox is something like antivirus
and confirmed no knox

samsung touch wiz rom,
just use stock rom (maximum stability), root, then use xposed framework and wanam xposed module (tons of features),
optional to use titanium backup to freeze all bloatware

aosp custom rom,
temasek rom, most feature pack kitkat rom.

thinking on doing that too

touchwiz is more than just the launcher.
and it cant be 'removed' just by using another launcher.

many aosp feature cant be reproduced on touch wiz rom.

~enable customizable nav bar. which i feel is much more easier to handle the phone.
  ~long press back to bring down notification tray, no need reach all the way to the top and pull down
  ~long press recent apps button to switch to previous app. quick and easy
~nav ring makes things easier to launch, easy access to google now, able to add screen off as ring target to turn off screen at anytime without pressing hardware button
~custom notification LED, fading effect, color, blinking time, apps in play store are not reliable and doenst work all the time.
~display wifi download/upload speed in status bar,
~way useful quicksettings tiles (torch, screen timeout, network mode)
~more lockscreen shortcuts, up to 8
~able to hold the bottom bazel of the phone without worry after disable hardware keys, cant be done on touchziw since you will press the back, home or menu key. very good grip when watch video or snap picture
~halo, no intrusive sms/whatsapp during gps navigation
~my favourite, slide status bar for brightness control (used to have in TW gingerbread, no idea why it's gone now)
~volume button control media volume instead of ringer volume
~6x6 pattern lock, way more secure and difficult to hack

i had the same problem since last week.. phone keep restarting on its own. sometimes it just loop at the samsung logo until i hard reboot it. 2 days back, i tried to reflash the ROM using stock (always on stock) but in the process i think my /efs folder get corrupted.
now my IMEI is messed up and can't get the phone to register to network.

tried many methods but i dont have the /efs folder backed up before, just nandroid backup.

found a way to edit the hex on the nv_data.bin but the tutorial is not for S3.

anyone kind enough to upload the nv_data.bin file in /efs folder for me to make reference? tutorial show only 3 lines to edit, and i want to try this as the last resort.

using odin, the usual step. not the first time using odin. never had /efs backup before.

can share ur opinion about it?
all the while was using boeffle kernel only..thinking to change...

any recommendation of kernel for 4.3? required to increase USB charging current as key priority.
