ok thanks .
another weird thing happens to my S3(just discovered) - I have flash using the UAE ROM and i rooted using CFRoot(non auto) when i tried to install BusyBox + nandroid it says my device is not rooted.
Checked using root checker - it's not rooted!
Checked using cpuz - it says yes(rooted)
Now should i root my s3 again using CF Auto Root?
any side effect biggrin.gif

You refer to stock or custom? If stock sure NA7..and Custom many choice Yank555, boeffla, Adam, Perseus or  Googy Max..

for Yank555, boeffla and Googy Max with 4.3 the rest not sure...

boeffla kernel 5.2 beta 1 - ok?

Hi i just updated to 4.3 through kies 2 days ago, then wipe/reset my phone. It was working great for 2 days.

Now everytime i turn on it said touchwig home fail.

Can someone help me with this?
*
Option 1:-
Go to: Settings/Application manager/All
Once there tap the menu button and hit "Reset app preferences"
A new box will pop up - hit "Reset apps"
After I did this, no more "Unfortunately....stopped" message!
Additionally, it kept all the settings just like I had them before, no need to refigure everything like you do when clearing the cache!

Option 2 :-
force stopped the TouchWiz Home.

Option 3 :-
Go to Settings >> Under Device click Home screen mode. >> Select Easy mode.>> Click Apply.

Is Odin detected your phone? Why you need PIT? What i can suggest is download kies3 (this is for 4.3 and above) and tried it again. blush.gif

i will try, but probably the same error will appear
bcoz from what i read, it is related to memory partition got corrupted, the only way is to replace the eMMc chip which cost RM608 if bought from Samsung.

maybe you need to double check your download ROM using HashTab and 7 zip to ensure your download is NOT corrupt.

For HashTab - Once you have installed HashTab, just right click on any file. On Windows, select Properties and you will see a new "File Hashes" tab. "File Hashes" displays all the configured hashes for the file. Use this as a simple MD5 checker, or select from almost two dozen options to perform a more advanced file integrity check.

For 7 zip - Install it. Select default options, and then run "Test archive" from the right click menu. Passing the test will give you a good indication your download is not corrupt.
