Hi, two years ago, my dad just bought a black leather sofa from Milan Furniture, and recently my sofa started to grow white patches throughout the sofa. Are those moulds? It looks like milk spilt on the sofa.

Thanks for the reply. I thought they were molds, because they can be so hazardous to my family.

Berkulat = mold. It is mold. And yes can be hazardous since it may germinate. Need to disinfect it.

Mold can only grow if there is moisture. So the root of the problem is moisture. Where does it moisture come from ?
Possibly you pour drinks on it or you wipe the sofa with very very wet towel or ......

Looks like mould to me. but could also be salt/sweat stains as someone mentioned

Is it evenly on all parts of the sofa leather or only concentrated at certain places?

Try wiping it off and see if it returns the the same places

Definitely mold. I got them on my old forgotten leather shoes. It could be due to someone spilling water on it and forget to dry it completely. Leather sofa needs regular maintenance.
