QUOTE(WiLyi @ Dec 24 2013, 10:38 PM) Is very hard to say which kernel work best for you until you try each kernel yourself. For me I still prefer lean kernel over civz as it is more minimalist. If you like more features and would like to test other governor there are others like abyss, wonder child, civz For uv you can use trickster or system Turner. For me I UV -65 for all frequency. I suggest you to uv -50 then slowly go lower. Some kernel might work best for me but not for you or vice versa. Just take our feedback as a reference but not as a fact but there are i/o such as row noop dealine....are u using ondemandx or interactivex and which do you think its more battery saving? i just want more batterysaving only hope u can help me =D i will try to undervolt it.... i thought that civs kernel has underclocked to 96 mHZ which currently has the lowest frequency which means can save more battery? sorry for my bad english and thanks for helping =D

QUOTE(WiLyi @ Dec 24 2013, 10:51 PM) I'm using row as my I/O and OndemandX governor. So far battery is very good for me, better than civz 1.9. I haven't try out the latest release of civz though. Sometimes underclock too much is not a good thing as the phone might be slow in catching up your process. This is what i encountered. Hmm why do you use row? So for all frequency you advice me to reduce 50 as start first?

QUOTE(WiLyi @ Dec 25 2013, 03:00 AM) This one. http://yank555-lu.net/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=328I just downloaded it and haven't flash yet. Because I see many kernel have patch and fix from yank, so thought of flashing his kernel directly and have a test. Yes, custom n3 is very smooth. I only flashed it few hours ago after finish testing on lean kernel. So far so good, and I hold on my comment on the battery life first, still can't conclude it yet. Will test out his v2 are u getting FC on Synapse app on v02?

Hmm... for me after using so many kernels.. faux lean custom n... I found our that the best battery and also stable kernel is the stock kernel ..currently i am using xnote v7 and think that stock ml2 kernel is the best in battery but not performance...

QUOTE(WiLyi @ Dec 25 2013, 11:23 PM) That's a good sign that development is on going. So far I find yank kernel and lean kernel is the best. They are simple, minimal, stable and more stock like. Hey Bro i am thinking of giving a try on yanks kernel... how is it compared to lean kernel and may you share your settings for yank kernel? For me I just hope to get more battery life.. any advice on the settings? Which io and governor you are using? Do you undervolt or overclock? Thanks Bro

BTW after flashing vulpix some of the problem occurs... all my apps including line naver, whatsapp and others has stopped working...gapps also stopped working ...I am currently using xnote v7 and flashed cleaner script and remove some of the bloatware... and what i feel is just all animation become faster as theanimation scale in the development window changed from 1 to 0.5

QUOTE(xcxa23 @ Dec 26 2013, 09:24 PM) seriously, i think that guy just take tweak from here and there then make it into one file.. its okay to do so, but at least check all the script.. if using stock kernel, might not have much problem, if custom kernel, problem will occur.. i just checked the script and found many conflicting and repeating tweak.... i manually deleted all the script and related files.. Yea.. if I use custom kernel sure got problem ..even do nandroid doesn't save the phone.. have to wipe system data... battery for me it's the same

QUOTE(WiLyi @ Dec 26 2013, 10:43 PM) Hmm, I nandroid restore to remove the script and everything is reverted back to the state prior to flashing the vulpix mod. How come yours will give you problem? I'm using TWRP thou Not sure though... I am using cwm... but even if I flashed with script fixer I still can't boot my device even if I flash other kernel.. so I wouldn't dare to try to flash vulpix again haha.. I remembered after flashing the vulpix and lean kernel 1.8 my phone went bootloop and that's the time even if I restore backup all my apps won't open.. it force closes... now i am back to xnote 7 and used titanium backup and flashed script cleaner you remove bloatware.. on top of that I also used titanium backup and deleted a lot of useless staff stated by firasusman.. not sure whether the spelling is correct or not haha.. and currently on stock kernel which is the most stable and gives me the best battery life.. haha.. sorry for my English though... but why do you think lean kernel and yanks kernel better than the stock ml2 kernel ?

QUOTE(WiLyi @ Dec 26 2013, 11:09 PM) Hmm, I didn't use CWM, but I'm using TWRP and I nandroid restore my device. So mine is running fine without the script and no problem encountered here. Maybe you can try TWRP though as it can backup efs partition as well. The reason I choose custom kernel is all for longer battery life. Stock kernel is fine but custom kernel could have better performance / battery life. I have tried all custom kernels except for wonder child, to me all smoothness of custom kernel are more or less the same. But lean kernel and yank's kernel give me better battery life. Abyss kernel has high Android OS consumption and cause issue in camera. Wooper's kernel is smooth but there is lots of wakelocks But lean is simple and don't have much wakelock. But compared to yank, it seems that yank battery life is slightly better than lean, as it really goes into deep sleep when I lock my phone. I haven't test lean 1.8 though. thanks bro for ur reply....which governor and i/o are u using again? do you undervolt?

QUOTE(WiLyi @ Dec 27 2013, 05:57 PM) I haven't try civz 2.5 and lean 1.8. Still on yank kernel 0.5. If you have time then test it out ba. Pretty solid and stable. Yes. You can read more in the link below. Few users tried already including our TS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2583199Tried 1.8alt eur and normal lean kernel and when I restart boot looped 3 times only the phone can start again... previously was using stock kernel but when I play songs via Bluetooth, the sound coming out from speaker will stutter and after changing to lean kernel 1.6 ondemandx everything is smooth..rthink the stock kernel still not so good yet.. I chose 1.6 lean because I think it's the most stable version of lean kernel haha ...

If not mistaken, the main developer doesn't even own a Note 3 which kernel are u using for lean one? i am having bootlooping in lk_hlteeur_alt-v1.8. and without alt 1.8 eur....strange...
