Okay notworthy.gifnotworthy.gifnotworthy.gif

Erm, Baseband and Modem are different thing arr? If so, here's my current insight the phone:-

ROM -> ML2 (X-note v7.0)
Kernel -> Stock (But dunno is BJ1 or ML2)
Baseband -> BJ1
Modem -> BJ1

After flash/update the Baseband via Odin v3.04 (Cannot v3.09?)

ROM -> ML2 (X-note v7.0)
Kernel -> Stock (But dunno is BJ1 or ML2)
Baseband -> BJ7
Modem -> BJ1 <==(Still BJ1?)
(Still rooted right?)

Oh and some questions, when I'm flashing X-note V7.0 via MOP I uncheck :-
1) Wipe data cache
2) Wipe Dalvik cache

Should I uncheck them or check them?

Where you getting the baseband and modem version from? They are the same thing.

No need to check those things in MOP.

Oh pai se Master blush.gif blush.gif most probably i crossed-read between XDA and Lowyat.

Okay, so only check those Wipe Cache when flashing the firmwares from sammobile right? I mean, if I were to flash back to stock of the newer firmware. Base on what i read so far in XDA, only UK version of BTU firmware are knox free for us (Malaysia).

ROM -> ML2 (X-note v7.0)
Baseband -> BJ1 (After flash via PC Odin v3.04 will become MJ7)

How do i read Kernel version? I pretty sure I choose Stock Kernel during the Aroma installation. So that's mean my Kernel is Stock ML2 ?

after I flash Baseband the new status of the phone will be :-

ROM -> ML2 (X-note v7.0)
Kernel -> ML2
Baseband -> BJ7

if i were to choose the path of flashing sammobile UK BTU via MOP, I'll get

ROM -> MJ7 (Stock)
Kernel -> MJ7 (Stock)
Baseband -> MJ7 (Stock)
Bootloader -> BJ1

with EverRoot checked and Clear Cache to get me back to rooted right?

However still not clear about the some of roles of ROM and Kernel yet. Need to read more and some help from you guys notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif but that's for another time nod.gif

notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif Thank you so much Master antt00 !! You have enlighten me very much. Also hope this post will clear some of the forumers as well !

Opps.. sorry to confuse u.. modem = baseband.. the word modem I learned during xperia x10 days.. lol
U still can use PC odin 3.09, I owaz right click it, select run as administrator (just in case) then choose AP. browse to the baseband directory..
Read the small box on the left... see if the md5 checksum is correct, then start flashing

1) n 2) not necessarily cos the rom automatic do so
