Any Frostmourne players here? How's the latency there, will the latency there make huge difference in PvP?

Looking to join back WoW in a high population server, Horde in Frostmourne seems challenging

My partner and I are doing PVP a lot. We're looking for more malaysian players, who enjoy doing RBG together. We speak malay in skype and we just enjoy doing RBG together. The more the merrier. No srs bznz, no drama, just doing RBG, gettting CP caps, boost some CR and out.

So far we only have like 3-5 active players at the same time (close to 20 but due to rl commitment we cant online together).

So if you can make it ( usually on Friday night ) just let me know.

You are with Warcallers? How come it stated Horde guide but you are using Dwarf?

latency is okay la for now. 200-300 ms. I'm alliance in Warcallers guild. before this I was in Jubei'thos as troll hunter.

I'm looking to join back mainly doing PvP, not a raid fan.. Frostmourne is Alliance populated, planning to join the less favourite horde side this time.

Any Horde guild in Frostmourne here mainly does PvP alot?

I'm a Horde from Frostmourne. Frost Mage.

Now PVP can be cross-realmed. So it doesn't matter if you're on which realm.

But Frostmourne at trade chat I've seen quite a number of RBG groups. For arenas, there's ton of partners that you can find in Frostmourne.

I've recently moved to Gun'drak as at the server, there's the largest Malaysian guild. Mainly PVE-based.

Latency in WoW servers are pretty good. I've gotten 190ms the lowest (very rare though) and average of 210-220ms. With those kind of MS, you can feel the delay but it's not so bad really.

Unless you play melee it's kind hard. But even with that latency, it's hard to fight those pillar huggers who LoS (line of sight) all the time it's very annoying in arenas and BGs.

But as you play you can get familiar with it and just put up with it.

Ahaha yeah I've to admit Gun'drak is a dead server.

But like I've said PVP are cross-realms. There's an addon called oqueue that you can install and there's a lot of PVP players around the world that use the addon to create RBG groups and arenas.

That means even though I joined Frostmourne, and after I install that add-on, I can chat and group with players from other servers for PvP?

I just started playing wow frostmorne,alliance human warrior,mainly play on Saturday night and Sunday only

I also rerolled on frostmourne.

On most days, with Streamyx 1MB, can get 250 ping, but this can drop to 500 during the holiday period.

If you're serious about arena pvp, i'd say Tichondrius for horde. But dont expect to find malaysian players there. We are a rare breed. The server is very active and vibrant, trade chat is all about pvp 24/7 with plenty of glads/multiglads and r1 players.

Or you can just stick to any server and look for players via oqueue.

If you wanna be serious in arena, tich is the place to be.

I wish there is cross-realm guild or a cross-realm AH
The only thing I worry about Gundrak is the economy, I'm on board, but getting gold is real pain in the ass. Just got a DK with 60% riding speed to farm some copper ore and manage to get 500g in 2 days, which is so damn slow. I ninja-ed all the instance loot ofcourse . That's tiring!
Since the population is low, the risk of getting caught of buying gold is high due to suspicious transaction can be easily tracked and they will hunt you down.

i tot gold has not been an issue in wow anymore , is the only thing to buy is the training for riding and other crafting stuff but most profession stuff is providable via your guildmates , i strongly aggreed if there's a global AH so u can find every single world drop and stuff as we know drop rates is no where near private servers , so if there's an global AH i think it's benefiting everyones as there's no issues as everything in trade in gold instead of real currency like those in diablo3

i lvl without help and able to get 320% mount speed by 90. weird.

lvl to 90 isnt a hard thing. Blizz tune down everything since BC, so its relatively "easier" now.

Population is not an issue in FM in either faction, the trade channel full of spam invites, trade and stuff, I pretty like FM and use to play with my real life friend in FM last time, then I left for rl commitment, and now the left too. I got roughly 2 hours a day and don't wanna stay up too late for my health , thus cant really go for weekly raid and gearing so no point I join guild that focus on weekly progression but find a place to hang around and have fun. Gundrak is pretty much like a community, that's how I feel, I'm still doing AH(can be done during working hours ) + lvling in FM while I leveling in Gundrak. I Guess I'm crazy now cuz I got both pally in FM and Gundrak up to 70+

As a noob that cant play that much, I am more into solo-ing old content for transmog which is more flexible, not very gear dependent and requires no commitment, cant commit much in to game la, real life is more important. Prolly random bg or premade one will do.

edit: 1 thing i personally don't like about horde is the city just looks ugly, besides Silvermoon City and Thunder Bluff, some ppl find it cool, things that looks nice are BE and tauren

I just started playing in FM, transferred over from Blackrock.

I gotta ask though, any of you guys been getting nasty ping on FM? I'm getting some terrible spikes around the 2k+ms, even up to 6k sometimes. Getting REALLY irritating. I dunno why it's been happening, I've been playing for like 2 weeks without a problem, just recently started acting up. On Unifi 10MBps, and haven't had any problems with other games, maybe really minor spikes here and there though :\

In response to OP, on a good day, MS was around 200 for me (Staying in KL) but recently started spiking bad. Makes leveling, questing, raiding or anything really annoying.

sifu, I'm pugging every week to cap conquest,3rd week of arenaing with diff pugs, but ever game I went into I don't actually know what I'm suppose to do but tunneling the weaker class and try to burn him down, I'm stucked at 1.1k guess that's so sux, what I can do next to improve? im ok with random bg but not the rated pvp
