i been playing dota 2 several months now and when i first played the game back in August the ping i got is around 30ms-45ms and that with the downloading running in the background ,and a month later i the ping is started to jump up around 150ms-300 ms and i decided to stop played the game for a while and now after a tons of update i thought that the lag will be reduced but it gotten worst and i got ping around 600ms-1000ms and that is totally unplayable ..

is anyone know how to fix the lag in the dota 2?, i use the tm streamyx 2mbps and the lag is still continue even i choose the SEA region only
is anyone here have the same problem as i am or im the only one?

cant really test the line with current servers,recently its been quite unstable even tourneys are postponed due to those problems :/

mostly is server down or got problem, i also get those when server is going down or about to come back.

Had this problem for 2months plus, contacted practically everyone, unifi, steam u name it... no fix..

Suddenly 2 weeks ago just poofffff back to normal 50ms.

try restarting ur modem see if it helps.
i restarted mine yesterday.. my ping went from 200plus to 90..

for my side, i change dns to auto(before this google dns) then ping become normal back. check urs..

the lag stop when i use the auto dns instead of google. now playing at 34ms-50ms

Getting around 200ms right now, previously only 50-60ms.

yeah changed mine ,and the ping just dropped back to normal before i played the game with 350ms -1000ms ...also restarted ur modem can also help with the lag

Same lag while playing now.. 400ms.. worst than last night.

have this problem just after the diretide and wraith knight update, first week of the update sure lag and server down or find match take forever, now it's back to normal and im sure the next big update will make the server lag again, haih

I also have been experiencing the same problem. With or without google DNS, the ping hovers around 300-400ms. But it is stable making me think that Streamyx routing is the culprit.

Anyway, out of curiosity, where are you guys' location? I am from Seremban and am having this problem.

Also, which IP did you guys ping? I use this IP 103.28.54.1 when I am not in game.

I never do ping before game.

But once I ping the IP you given I get around 100ms.

Still having a bit delay (100ms - 200ms) after restart modem several times and not using Google DNS.

i m from Banting,Selangor ..i also thought that Streamyx was the problem but i changed the dns and the ping when back to normal.. previously im using the old streamyx modem and the ping is low on the game and i also download a file at the same time, now they changed my modem and i can only get low ping when nothing else is using the internet except the game itself..and i also use nvidia GeForce Experience to get the best settings for my laptop...

You mean TM changed a new modem for you?

As I just start to use the TM modem and found that it is quite unstable sometimes when too many devices connect to it.

yeah they did..the previous one gone "kaboom" because of the freakin lighthing..and they change to the silver one

the previous modem = D-link Wireless N150
current modem = MARITIME W3400V6

the previous modem i had was better than the current one.
