I wonder if Intel macs could do that...Are you using Intel Macs

If youre on PowerPC , Classic should be installed....and when you start , it will load MacOS 9 for you...

I am sorry to say , OS9 Applications would not work on your Intel Mac !

you would need to install Classic. Usually it comes with the Restore Disc and its preinstalled !
