I didn't think Allen would improve the team.
I mean he would add the depth of our team (aka bench warmer).

We don't need depth as player like Allen could do his job as bench warmer.
We certainly need quality player. I'd pick quality over depth.
And I concur we need to sign proven players. 1-2 proven quality players instead of 4-5 inferior products.
