I would choose to avoid the dog as much as I can. The only one I could not avoid is during one day at midnight when I saw something like a string on the road moving, never thought it was a snake until I got close enough to realised.

Did swerve but was too late and kena the snake some part of its body already....turn back and couldnt find it there.
Thought it was dead because I saw it struggled after I accidentally ran over it.

My fault for not concentrating on late night driving. Pity the snake.  cry.gif

Seriously ridiculous whistling.gif According to my many years in insurance industries, the accidents that caused by swerve to avoid object usually makes the most damages yawn.gif According to investigator/adjuster, hit the brakes and start praying is the way to go. whistling.gif Don't argue with me, you can't win geh. I've seen more accident cars than you seen the cars on the road cool2.gif

ohh... hmm 6am is like damn early for me, past speedfests i also woke up at like 7 and just sped through the journey and reach there ontime/early.

besides i'm not exactly sure if i'm still going or not, many of my regulars aren't joining/going.
a lot of things happening of late (like collecting my new car tomorrow, lol) and my finances have been pretty hard pressed. yes rm80 may seem low but eh, it's still a sum of money.

you're confirmed going? joining the actual race as well?
*
Actual race, can't be certain right now. Failed my car's medical checkup lately, am doing it up bit by bit now, in the hope it fit for the race, than I'll register for it on the spot.

wa you on the spot only register? hmm  hmm.gif

well i'm having medical checkup for the car tomorrow... >12k km on the SR1... hopefully no build up/sludge. I checked the upper cams/valve/rockers etc during the gasket replacement/valve clearance adjustment and it looked good.

unlike the sentra, emissions on the 4g15 is considerably higher sweat.gif
to be safe i'll use an engine flush and 3bond as well... been a while since my last 3bond and the last time i used engine flush was prior to ceratec, maybe 40k km/a year+ ago sweat.gif
*
My medical checkup turns out worst that I can think of:

1) Torsion beam already injured previously. I have spacered my rear camber. If I were to track it, I'll have to sacrifice my rear donuts. They have like 60% thread now, and I'm not ready to change tyre just yet. Either I get another set of old tyres and slot them in, take off the spacers and drive like a moron during the track day. Mind you my rear camber is -5 and -3 without the camber adjustment. So, I'll have higher entering speed, but god knows what will happen when my tyre give up whistling.gif Either the don't stay so close to me, or you better get infront of me at the straights whistling.gif Or I'll just have to stay with the correct camber and block everybody during the corners.

2) My front donuts are too new for tracking. Budgeting for used tyres for track day. Highly possibly fixable.

3) Injectors are blocked again. We've taken them out for a mist test, it eventually failed at 150cc. Spray like a water gun ady. In short, hutan bakar happening again doh.gif Reason being, too much going to pasar, idling enjoy aircond insde the car whilst waiting for junior to discharge from school. Major contributor is Mrs.YAB. Have gone through hyper sonic cleansing 2 weeks ago in Ipoh. Currently under observation, will retest again next week.

4) Rear brake cylinders(both) are behaving unusual feedback at rapid stopping. Have checked to found drums are running in oval shape. Sent for remachined instead of buying a new sets(despite replacement is cheap). Had enough of the tofu drum that will cause tak tak tak sound(experienced on my Shawie after replaced with new FLX drums). Currently under observation, so far so good but magician wouldn't recommend to take the risk in TRACK.

5) Home minister against it, as the car currently under finance. Had talked it out, and got the permit to attend speedfest under strict condition of not crashing. Insurance doesn't cover yo. Still, everytime when mentioned track day she'll show the long face.

Have done a lot more to prep on the car, such as removal of soundproof, fire retard front doors, fire extinguisher, coil mat being replaced with rubber mat, weight loss spare tyre from Shawie, SUPER DANGEROUS LCP(classified whistling.gif), new Tesco Semi lube, new coolant, newer used exhaust system from another low mileage BLM after recent failed of medical checkup. Some other minor electrical mods that TRYING to gain performance.

So, I do hope it's fit for the track by then. Especially concern on spare donuts that I can bring to the race. In the hope of, atleast can smell kenjilew's exhaust fume also hepi ady icon_rolleyes.gif

aiks sound really bad on the medical checkup sad.gif

but eh, it's a time attack, you won't be racing anyone so no worries on other cars.
from my video with r3apers is due to organizer releasing at wrong timing, minor mistake la

for the injectors, how come causing block? maybe can consider something like lambda petrol from elton once a while? or as per tv ad, caltex techron a? sweat.gif

and sigh you having rear drum woes too? same here la. stupid thing sometimes clamping down harder than it's original brake distribution zzz
it's damn lame going into shops or something and when i/mech/friend brake the front still going normal but the rear lock jor wafak. sometimes leaving tire mark doh.gif

while i can't understand your troubles with home minister (single ma lol), i do understand the part on car under finance. and eh sometimes, accidents really DO happen even when NOT in the track (queuing up for entry sigh)
by right within the track would be safer since time attack and all, but there is no stopping people from the track crashing into you during your queuing session doh.gif

anyways good luck on everything and hope to see you joining la (regardless if i am joining myself or not) as i hoped to see sifu in action someday  notworthy.gif

ps: chat on the highly classified LCP whenever we meet? biggrin.gif

Ady said classified summoar wanna ask. Custom made pulley, was built wt less than a kilo. It has failed balancing test. It is dangerous around 7k rpm. So, now u won't hear me go red line anymore until I take it off. Due to nature of inertia, the engine balancing also jeopardised. Cruising flat road below 3krpm required regular input petrol more often then stock pulley. Uphill boh lat.

Oh they found the solution to further delay the DbW? whistling.gif Sorry but to tell, it's the clutch that causes the jerk. The only remedy is to tune the throttle to close slower, more fuel injected to avoid clutch kick back that may cause engine stall/jerk whistling.gif Try a Hongda Shitty DSi and see, you're going to curse GaGa why same CVT so much different yawn.gif

The most you felt sluggish and late shifting oni yawn.gif Sei sohigh only will believe Punch's lies. Best part is, prolly Plotong also admit it their firmware not competitive enough(never thought the engine management was running fine on Persoga/BLM/FL 4AT). Punch's line is always blaming Plotong engine management incompatible geh, which is truth. 1 can't treat a CVT like 4AT fuel control, unless they further delay the throttle response, or electronically control a vacuum generator, something like FICD to maintain certain amount of vacuum(throttle angle) to prevent the car from stalling.

how will they repair this part?
*
Responsible repairer:
Drill a hole on the kemek part, screw a long bolt on the hole. Heat up the entire area(ofcourse need to pull out everything inside the car), then pull the bolt so the kemek part will come back out. Once everything is in place, proceed with welding to patch up the cracked area. Finally, grind off extra welded surface, apply fiber patch on the surface. Sand it off until surface is smooth. Apply primer, spray paint. Oven bake dry.

Irresponsible repairer:
Cut the entire rosak area out. Get a piece of metal plate, T weld it on. Grind off extra area. Apply patch, sand off surface. Apply primer, spray paint.

DIY:
Go bai saisket, double sided tape. Drill 2 extra holes on both front/back fender to further secure the new saisket. Gaodim whistling.gif

what a long process..
since u're from Ipoh, can recommend where to repair it?  hmm.gif
*
Long process? That is small matter, can be done within same day if you send in the morning, probably can collect car in the evening. However though, if claim insurance, usually you're going to have to wait for

1) Claim registration(1 week waiting period usually, despite bank negara say 2 days)
2) Adjuster survey(Another 1 week usually, despite bank negara say 1 day after claim registration)
3) Police report(within 2 weeks from accident, consider you reported on the same day after accident, and u did went to workshop for claim registration).
4) Repair time(usually another week and above, despite PIAM ady ruled 1 week maximum regardless how bad the condition is)

So, basically motor insurance claim, the limit of days to be spent on workshop shall not exceed 21 working days(by law la). I'm sorry, you're referring to what as long process? yawn.gif If you don't wish to claim insurance, I will still recommend you go report police. God knows what the bike rider will go report say you came out of junction suddenly, as a result causing him crash in to your car whistling.gif FYI, bodily injury can sue upon 3rd party on the DRIVER instead of insurance company. So, if I'm the rider, I'll 1st go and look for a company talk to the HR personnel, get the person to hire me as a senior officer pay me 10k a month. Then go hospital talk to a doctor, to prescribe me 3 months not fit for work. After that, I'll get a loya who willing to take up my case, sue against you to pay me 3 months salary whistling.gif 30k nia, then 5k for the "hired" company, 5k for the doctor, 5k for the loya. I take 15k to repair my bike lar yawn.gif

QUOTE(Predator10 @ Dec 22 2013, 04:00 PM)
great pair of eyes.. just by looking at the the road u can know it's 1st garden..
u stay there ?
*
If 10 years ago, you'll see a blue color KE20 going side ways on that road 4~5am. That's when I finish work from Pengakalan going through Menglembu, hitting Taman Mas and using that road go home. You're lucky only a bike hit you. Can't imagine if you kena hit by my KE20 whistling.gif

From the angle you're turning, u should be heading to GP foodcourt direction. Keep driving straight, u will pass through new indian temple on the left, keep going straight at the cross junction. After that, u will pass by 1st garden industrial area. After industrial area is a small river, cross that river immediately on the left is mamak(teh ais damn nice), on the right under tree got say (HI TECH ENTERPRISE), that's my regular magician when ayam in Ipoh. Once u turn right, immediately 1st lot on your left is a makat/paint shop - Assuming you're not going to claim your insurance. However, if you're going to claim insurance, please call your insurance company to find out which panel workshop is more reliable and whether it's near to your house.

since i'll be claiming insurance, what will happen to the rider?
the bike he was riding belongs to a dead person which he borrowed from a lady, he himself is without license  doh.gif
*
Nothing will happen to Banggalah. No license = No punish.

You, because the Banggalah got no license, so you cant sue him under any traffic law
You, because the bike belongs to a dead person, you cant sue a dead person
You, because the person is dead, so insurance not legit. You can't sue the 3rd party insurance
You, because you have no interest party, you got no 1 to sue, your car consider own damage
You, because your car own damage, so you lose NCD next year

Suddenly feel like changing my muffler to S-Flow or i dunno wateva *please insert i'm noob* (3 months+ old only) whistling.gif

Any recommendations? the cons i heard is bad FC  hmm.gif

Environment friendly road user, do not remove catcon or change extractor. By removing catcon, you may save 1cent/km? May be after many years you finally make up the mileage to save up the amount of money you invested in a new extractor. FYI, the catcon new 1 is RM1400. U think it through why ekzos shop keep on poisoning people to remove catcon to gain more power lar. Many ekzos shop come to my import car dealers offer us RM200 to replace our newly imported VELLFIRE catcon whistling.gif Guess what do they have in behind their van? You're right, truck load of slightly used catcon, some absolutely looked like new.

If only changing resonator and muffler(without replacing different size of piping), that will not affect FC much, neither performance gain much. However, the right resonator(midbox) setup can help gain much on low end torque distribution(considering without changing any other part of the exhaust system, besides of the mid). Recently, swirl flow bullet is very popular, you may give it a try. It helps smoothen the evacuation of exhaust flow.

As for the muffler, depends on what kind of design you're choosing. FC wise, it will affect. The straighter, the more high end RPM(top speed) improvement, the more fuel consuming. The smaller outlet, with more baffler silence tube, the more low end RPM improvement, better fuel saving in short distance type of city/town driving.

QUOTE(nabelon @ Dec 25 2013, 12:19 AM)
Hi there my friends. I need some insight. Recently my suspension feels harsh. Getting harsher by the day. I suspect that either the absorber or the spring is the culpriy. Im ruling out tyre, its a ps3 195/50 on 15 "lenso wheels. My blm mileage is at 120k. Any input is deeply appreciated.  Thanks.
*
When talk about cars, don't rule out anything just yet until you found the actual culprit.

1) Check tyre pressure. Reduce to 29/28 to see whether it helps?
2) To check and see whether absorber is functioning properly, get a heavier person to use palm to push the car down. Then release quickly, see whether the car bounce right up. If it does, spring no problem. On the other hand, after the car bounce up, does it sink back down and bounce like a boat in wave(up down up down). Usually if absorber is fine, the car will bounce up not more than 2 times. At most 1.5.
3) If you switch off your aircon/radio, pay attention to your steering wheel. As and when you feel harshness like hitting a small stone or uneven road, you feel sensation from your butt, you hear gruk gruk gruk feedback from steering wheel and physically you can feel which front wheel is shaking, that lower arm bushing already koyaked.

Hope this help.
