QUOTE(Mahihi @ Dec 26 2013, 02:12 PM) motul and other famous engine oil also got diff eo for normal use and racing use,so to me if u r not racing everyday,no need use racing oil, abit wasted,i use Rm 65 engine oil oni,my car is street car,hiak3 wahh now u use rm65 EO haaa? last time u like performance wann..and btw, motorsport drain their oil out is because the heat in racing is very high,so of course they need to drain it out coz will degrade *that time u gila performance wann |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Dec 26 2013, 02:15 PM) but most, if not all performance brands also develop normal non-racing EO for regular users with good amount of detergent additives... and to add a bit, there are Motul 300v that can use on street car.get a higher viscosity wannto get API SN rating isn't easy ya lol. (need to care for the environment also, which is where most EO fails when they load it up with heavy additives to offer adequate amount of protection) i think ruby referring to pure race oils such as torco SR-5, motul 300v, chemlube black etc those typically have lesser detergents and they DO require shorter OCI's and please no 0w EO for campro * just saying hehe This post has been edited by dagreatdzul: Dec 26 2013, 02:21 PM |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Dec 26 2013, 02:25 PM) 300v still lacks detergents and they are NOT API certified: https://engineoil.api.org/Directory/EolcsRe...anyName%3Dmotul hahahaha am just saying...also as i've mentioned before, in modern day EO viscosity is not the be all end all for engine oil film strength/protection. value before w can be ignored because it stands for winter, Malaysia won't have winter until global warming or w/e end of days happen la. |

QUOTE(lhwj @ Jan 2 2014, 09:47 AM) I finally solved the rattling today! wahhh nice finding. will try on my car On 31st evening I finally found the cause, which is that part my fingernail is touching. It's the piece that pushes on the lever to open the door when you pull on the inside and outside handle. The space inside was tight and I tried tying a piece of sponge but it was still loose. Then I realised the black disgusting stuff holding the plastic sheet could be put to good use |
