Hello, smile.gif
I am new to this forum and wish to have your idea if Living Social, Groupon, etc those site really selling cheap stuff?
I got to know the site itself already get a lot of commission from the dealer, so, I really have no idea how the dealer made.

A friend of mine are actually the supplier of those dealer and told me that the site gain the most, and dealer not that much.. but most pity is the final consumer like us...
I got the idea like the same thing/product, WHY PAY MORE...

kindly share if any idea from you..

Most dealers users Groupon and such is just to gain customer awareness and attention ... Groupon is charging close to 50% of the sales price which to certain company their selling at a lost. Other sites im not sure, but my own site charges about 5-10%.

It's a form of marketing. Some are probably selling at almost cost or below cost.

Grouping / Social Living actually is replacing classic advertisement method........

The company pay for advertisement but people might not going to try their item or food........

While groupon....... People will buy and try it out..... So, both also earn benefit.....

I think some deals are for real and others are just for the sake of marketing. I have a friend who bought a powerbank from one of the deal sites and turn out the powerbank was kind of like "re-con" and the worst part is it cannot be used. Total waste. Be careful when buying any deal.
