You'll say it was a good sub now that we have won, but to me taking off Walcott for Jenkinson was an infuriating move by Wenger. That simply invited pressure upon ourselves and sure enough for the remainder of the match it was all Newcastle. Every time we got the ball we had no outlet to break. Walcott would have been invaluable there.
And that one moment when Krul was rushing back to his goal from outfield and we had a throw in. Bloody bollocks Jenkinson, have some awareness and do the quick throw in to Bendtner and we could have wrapped it up.
We really do need a proper good striker. Giroud may be good at other aspects, but he is absolute horrible at actually striking the ball. He has composure and finishing for naught. Rosicky, Wilshere, and especially Cazorla were piss poor in the final third. Cazorla has been bottling simple passes in the final third all game that would have seen good goal scoring chances for us.

Agreed. Not a good move and fortunately it didn't backfire, but the intention to protect the lead was obvious.
Jenko should only used as a sub for Bak if needed, not for an attacking player who has the ability to start counterattacks or run at defenders.
The other sub - Mikey for Gibbo was bizarre. Most likely to protect Gibbo from an injury, but shifting Flam to the LB despite him having a run back in 2006 was not ideal. Debuchy, who was Newcastle's best player of the night, as well as Ben Arfa AND Santon had quite a lot of fun with our left side in the later parts of the game.
Everyone gets a C. Just did enough to snatch 3 points, but boy was this the hardest 3 points that we've gotten so far. We seemed much more at ease playing Dortmund !
funny. in the early part of the season when we used to play with 6 defenders in the final 10 minutes, nobody gives a damn. too bad we don't have any other defenders on the bench. or else, AW will definitely throw them in as well. for me, it's understandable since we're playing away.
Flamini to LB just to keep Ben Arfa silent. Gibbs has some trouble playing against him in the past. Flamini though, managed to keep him in sight. Debuchy managed to run freely in the flank because neither Santi or Rosicky tracked his runs.
