if only waze got junction view like those in papago

got once i use waze, from sungai petani to penang island

then waze bring me to kampung road , i ignore it and use the usual highway. then i only noticed it's freaking mothership crazy jam all the way to penang bridge. then i only faham waze want me use ferry instead of bridge so bring me kampung road

oh besides lack of junction view, another thing i hate about waze is the search function

1 ) i can't search a shop name of "sin lean heang" at certain states. let's say i am at kedah now, but i going penang, and want to search for that shop which is located at penang, i can't specifically search the shop at penang

2) waze will not search everything i type. it will search each part of the word and give me the result. what i mean is if let's say i search "sin lean heang" it will give me the result of any POI with the name of "sin" "lean" "heang" inside . hence, whatever shop name that is "hua sin", "leng heang" ect ect all will pop up

for papago usually won't like that, but you need to be very specific with the name. if the name you key in is correct, but inside the map it's another name then you are gone.

hence i hope waze can let me search a POI of certain state, and then gives me the option to choose all words must be match when i search something

there's loads of people tak tau use foursquare as search engine in waze . at least among my friends a lot of them tak tau .

i hope that can be fixed soon

anyway, talking about this, i find that waze function of "cannot type during driving unless passenger" is even more dangerous. because when driver want to type something and that pop up came off, it actually takes away the driver attention more to bypass it by saying he is the passenger =.='

yea, agree it's only as reference nia. sometimes need to sendiri decide or what. but i kena few times before that waze took me long long road, and i wonder why...only when halfway found that it's massive jam, then only regret why no take alternative road lol

what i mean is, yes, you are not supposed to press while driving. but what does that pop up help? it only cause the driver to focus more on the phone. initially the driver might only need to spend 5 seconds, but with that pop up, he will need to spend 10 seconds on it. will the driver stop pressing the phone when the pop up appear? No, he won't. he will bypass the pop up and fool the device and say he is the passenger so he can continue type.

so, what's the point of that pop up then?

so how many drivers that continue use it when it's pop up? does i solve the problem or not?

no idea. but I know that the pop up definitely doesn't solve the problem, which in fact, is actually creating even more problem.

lol, i don't know what kind of your mind is if you think it's like terms and condition

and i say most drivers will ignore. i never say me. also , for you is not doesn't mean everyone in the world is like that.

i think the best is totally disable the option to type when driving, but then it again, i think they won't do that because many people will stop using it.
