oh besides lack of junction view, another thing i hate about waze is the search function
1 ) i can't search a shop name of "sin lean heang" at certain states. let's say i am at kedah now, but i going penang, and want to search for that shop which is located at penang, i can't specifically search the shop at penang 2) waze will not search everything i type. it will search each part of the word and give me the result. what i mean is if let's say i search "sin lean heang" it will give me the result of any POI with the name of "sin" "lean" "heang" inside . hence, whatever shop name that is "hua sin", "leng heang" ect ect all will pop up do u guys get what i mean? lol for papago usually won't like that, but you need to be very specific with the name. if the name you key in is correct, but inside the map it's another name then you are gone. hence i hope waze can let me search a POI of certain state, and then gives me the option to choose all words must be match when i search something |

QUOTE(g5sim @ Dec 17 2013, 10:24 AM) WAZE should be outlawed until it is updated to work with ONLY voice command!!!!! This mofo app is making people to use hand held devices while driving!!!! so yes -- it should be BANNED immediately. yea, ban waze immediately.google maps, apple maps, nokia maps, standalone gps device all tak pa anyway, talking about this, i find that waze function of "cannot type during driving unless passenger" is even more dangerous. because when driver want to type something and that pop up came off, it actually takes away the driver attention more to bypass it by saying he is the passenger =.=' |

QUOTE(bartbarb @ Dec 17 2013, 10:26 AM) second that. yea, agree it's only as reference nia. sometimes need to sendiri decide or what. but i kena few times before that waze took me long long road, and i wonder why...only when halfway found that it's massive jam, then only regret why no take alternative road lolFor me waze is good GPS tool, except for that problem & no junction view. 1 more thing is, which I face quite a few time is, the route should be able to just go straight but waze will pin point u to turn left into the small road & come back out to the main road. Which is unnecessary as there is no traffic at all, & u thought it was actually route you through another road to destination. Also another thing is, if u are facing a ring-road with overbridge ahead as well, the direction will be quite fark up. All GPS can just be meant as a reference, can't be fully trusted on it. |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Dec 17 2013, 10:30 AM) means waze allow you to search other sources like foursquare and google. that's is exactly what i say in my previous post when you quoted me. You can even check in to foursquare within waze interface QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Dec 17 2013, 10:33 AM) i am speechless show how noob some ppl are at least it warned you that you need to be stationery to set the navigation and drive not driving while setting like other gps allows you too. you don't get my point at all.YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO BE PRESSING WHILE DRIVING. Your intelligence got trolled so badly by a gps software. It only appear when it detects you are on the move if you are stationery it wont appear. If tak ada is dangerous that the main cause of accident. Cant understand small brain ppl what i mean is, yes, you are not supposed to press while driving. but what does that pop up help? it only cause the driver to focus more on the phone. initially the driver might only need to spend 5 seconds, but with that pop up, he will need to spend 10 seconds on it. will the driver stop pressing the phone when the pop up appear? No, he won't. he will bypass the pop up and fool the device and say he is the passenger so he can continue type. so, what's the point of that pop up then? |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Dec 17 2013, 12:37 PM) popping means people warn you and if you still dont listen you are responsible of your own action. so how many drivers that continue use it when it's pop up? does i solve the problem or not? If people didnt tell you and u still do it we cant blame. But ppl warn you di you still do its your own doing get it |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Dec 17 2013, 09:19 PM) for you maybe for me is not. Its warn me but if i still do it i understand the consequence is like terms and condition you tick it and proceed means u accept the terms and condition. lol, i don't know what kind of your mind is if you think it's like terms and conditionCreating more problem if your mind is limited and i say most drivers will ignore. i never say me. also , for you is not doesn't mean everyone in the world is like that. i think the best is totally disable the option to type when driving, but then it again, i think they won't do that because many people will stop using it. |
