I consider to get one however it is not official launch yet I cant get it in Penang (i'm from Penang btw nod.gif ) if i stay in KL I will buy in KL, my big concern is warranty, in KL i can just give my phone to the seller and depend on the seller to ship to origin country for repair, but i stay in penang so i have to to ship to KL and waiting them to ship to origin country, i feel very unsafe, so i have to wait for launching.

Why would the AP seller ship the phone to the origin country for repair? If they service the warranty, they would repair the phone themselves.

It can still work that way especially if the shop doesn't have the expertise in such repairs. Isn't that what most sellers do?

*
I don't think so, the margin of profit is so small for AP seller, how can they afford to ship the phone back and return. They will only provide you with shop warranty if they have the expertise to fix simple repair at the first place.

There's always lemon out there, it's better to be safe than sorry. Brand or not has nothing to do with it, manufacturing and electronics defects are not unheard off and it's still pretty common. To have the peace of mind, I don't see anything wrong to wanna buy from local authorised distributor.

They do. It will cost you a 25USD + shipping though.

One thing that held me back is its anti-scratch-ness. I see some scratch marks in some of their videos (or maybe that's just some lighting issue). Sure, polymer-based SP will not be as anti-scratch as the tempered glass one, but if a SP scratches so easily and cost me 25USD to replace, it will be very painful!

They used to cost 20GBP, so now it's cheaper!

scratch proof vs crack proof, I'm voting for crack proof anyday thumbup.gif

scratch is $25 to replace, crack is >rm200+ to fix cool2.gif

didn't know such sp existed, might get this when I get my n5

Just sharing my rusty physics knowledge from college  sweat.gif

Basically display screen can be of two type :
elastic ( difficult to crack but easier to bend, for example PDA screen )
tough ( difficult to bend but easier to crack, for example glass )

Most modern smartphone with corning gorilla glass was of tough type. Putting a screen protector that is difficult to crack doesnt exactly able to protect phone's glass below. Those glass type screen protector will have higher chance to protect phone screen/glass, by taking the hit. Good glass also had scatter proof characteristic thus will reduce damage to screen/glass below as well.
*
That is what you called physics?!

Surely you didn't watched that video, did you?

It clearly has elasticity with the impact damping layer and the impact dispersion layer, and it looks pretty stunning with what they shown in the video.

And btw, the rhino shield was quoted to be stronger than the Gorilla glass, coupled with high transmission rate and some finger and scratch resistant properties, I think it's pretty cool for $25.

Chill bro, I didnt watch the video. I believe it is shield/film type. I believe you misunderstand functions of it.
Phone will have glass in front of display screen, most modern phone will be using Corning's product. It's not possible for you to replace Gorilla glass with Rhino shield or other. Purpose of Rhino shield or other screen protector ( film or glass type ) will be an extra layer on top of phone's glass.
*
Well, you should really watch it then. They are devised by two Cambridge students, and the demo in the video are pretty convincing to me that it works pretty well to both absorbing and dispersing impact. As shown by hammering an iPhone with the shield used and the demonstrations of the drop of metal ball with and without the shield layered on the glass.

And the shield wasn't meant nor did I implied it to be a replacement of the glass of the phone, but I believe as a screen protector, what they shown in the video serve the purpose of protecting the glass of the screen splendidly.

As quoted by some, it offers greater strength than gorilla glass, and also fingerprint repellent and scratch resistant qualities. I think for $25, it does the job of protecting the screen solidly if it does performed well in real life similar to what they shown in their vids.

I am using the Nillkin H+ Anti-Explosion Glass SP with the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case.
Fully protected as precaution for I broken my previous HTC Desire HD screen when it fall on the floor.

The Nillkin H+ SP was great and cheap too compare to other glass SP.
Crispy clear view like no SP on it.
Anti finger print n smudge too - this is the main thing i like.
But if finger is oily, still left the smudge on it.
Here is the video that show some scratch proof and hammer proof (but I doubt this test was genuine).

Then you must do a review for LYN, hit it with hammer! laugh.gif

I know abt the both old n new lots. When I went to the new lot the guy thr didn't reply just pointed me towards the old lot. When I went inside the old lot. I had to wait 15 minutes to get my turn lol... and then when I got my turn, the guy thr had tht vibe of just shut up n give me ur money and get lost. lol. Just my opinion on what i experienced though... maybe someone else was treated thr nicely smile.gif

At dialog hub/swift challenge, I experience the opposite smile.gif also I think they are one of the main distributor of Liquipel.

Where is this Dialog Hub located exactly, and what is their price for n5?

Is it the one at Hicom Glenmarie?
