Guys. Anyone using PA Gapps? I realize the keyboard sound was the same as the stock one. Any way to change it to the stock 1?

QUOTE(xDjWanNabex @ Jan 2 2014, 08:33 PM) hey guys, just wanna confirm..my nexus is not using LTE (aussie set). Is it due to my sim card? or some other problem! thanks What operator you're using?Aussie set is D821 which should be compatible with Malaysian LTE Band just like mine. So it's either your currently subscribed plan or the SIM. |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Jan 2 2014, 10:28 PM) Well, LTE info for major 4 telco was not complete. We might need someone to verify and organize LTE status Digi LTE is only available for Tabs and BBs. They've been upgrading since 2011 and claimed they'll the first to introduced a complete LTE network. Well, http://new.digi.com.my/Page/plan/default/p...4g_lte_overview |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Jan 2 2014, 11:07 PM) Guys, I just got my Nexus 5 last night. Always been an iPhone user, so this is new to me. IMO, stock battery a bit sucks.First up, hardware. I have the wobbly power button for sure, volume rocker wobbles slightly too. This does dampen the premium feel of the ceramic buttons, and is kinda a bummer, but one day on I don't think it matters anymore. Certainly nothing something I would RMA for. Those are the kind of people who will cause the next Nexus 5 to increase in price. My girlfriend's unit also has the same wobbly buttons, so it's gotta be a widespread thing. Other than that I didn't notice anything wrong, not sure if my screen has light bleed but I don't notice anything so it's all good to me. Viewing angle is bad from the corners, but again not a biggie. Overall the screen looks fabulous. Now I've heard about the battery life of the Nexus 5, but I think mine's performing even worse. Last night I charged the phone up to 95% and unplugged it. It was connected to wifi with mobile data turned off. When I woke up in the middle of the night (2.5 hours later), it had dropped 13%. I've been hearing how good the battery is when idle, and this drop looks really bad. I charged it to 100% at 9am, by 9pm I had 35% left, with only about 1.5 hours of screen on time. Again, looks bad. Any idea what may be causing this? I'm new to Android, so all the sifus out there, point me in the right direction? I'm on stock everything. Didn't change anything. Some stuff I noticed:- - One thing I observed is that it fetches my emails instantly. How do I turn this off? Does this eat up a lot of battery? - Is there a on-screen volume adjuster? I listen to music using my phone and earphones and the physical volume buttons aren't precise. Sometimes its too soft and one step up its too loud. I miss the on-screen volume adjuster on my iPhone. Any other music app to recommend? - For Chrome, is there a way to put the back and forward buttons on the main browser instead? You gotta check the battery app and see what's eating up your battery and put a stop to it. Besides, there's a few tweaks you can do boost the battery life. 1. If you insist to stay stock and non-root which is here's isn't much to do IMO. Besides simple settings tweaks, you can go for ART runtime which do good on idle time. I lost 2% with WiFi during bedtime which is about 7-8 hours. Google around you can get some simple tips to save some battery. 2. And yes, if you choose to root it. NEXUSes are meant to be rooted. -Flash custom kernel, I would recommend Franco for battery life. -Flash custom ROMs, some provide settings to tweak your battery better. Say, Cataclysm ROM comes with Smart Radio. It auto switches your radio to 2G while sleep. -Use Greenify + Wakelock Detector (thanks djlah for the suggestion) Some apps wake your device while sleep to run some processes which will wake up other apps (based on what it told me from wakelock detector) and that will jeopardize your phone. Use wakelock detector to identify those apps and Greenify it. Greenify is an app that hibernate apps to stop it from running in the background. Bet you gonna hate iOS from now on. QUOTE(Someonesim @ Jan 2 2014, 11:59 PM) I've never use Play Music before, been using PowerAMP for long time. How much does it cost now ? Actually comes to think, few dollar equals one meal, but apps can be use everyday for long time. So if worth to invest then can just purchase it, IMHO $0.99 |

QUOTE(mudkipryan94 @ Jan 6 2014, 01:34 PM) for me nope... this time Samsung will go Snapdragon S800 processor, which is 8974AB socs as same as Note 10.1" 2014 edition.. Hmm. I do hope they design the tab much lighter and smaller bezels unlike the current model. But latest news from ibtimes suggest that Samsung is pushing out its 64-bit exynos 6. Both AMOLED and the new chipset "is expected" to power the new nexus 10. Hope Samsung don't make a mess for the Nexus device again like they did on GNex and Nex10.i give the reviews on Sammy Note 10.1" 2014 vs 2012... still prefer SnapDragons But Exynos SoC not bad, but they closed the stupid source.. -Maybe this time they will go for PLS LCD screen/ IGZO leh bro.. [according from Anandtech, Sammobile n Mashed]*** coz snapdragon soc have tons of source to compile, create n test on your phone kernel la, roms la or whatever u wanna to do.. about iPad air... sleeks, but not kind of my taste , coz iOS for kiddo use only.. Haha. For me tab should be fast and simple. That's why I choose iPad |

Hey guys, just got my casings from eBay.
US$0.99 each (FREE POSTAGE, how did they do it?!), comes with a stylus and a SP for each casing. Cutouts are perfect and it doesn't feel cheap at all. It feels way better than those RM15 from pasar malam. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is one serious good buy. |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Jan 8 2014, 12:16 AM) Lol, I got mine today as well I just squeeze the hell of it. It won't scratch, don't it? The quicksand ones look and feel great, but it does scratch your phone. Is there a way to properly put them on without scuffing the phone? Just love'em. Should have bought all the colour. Now they're selling at RM4.65. |
