QUOTE(barbar554 @ Dec 31 2013, 11:28 PM) Wooah! So long didn't post here already. Been busy messing with the settings on N5. nicely done bro..sorry to ask this noob question, how to install franco kernel? i just flash my phone with cataclysm rom.Did a clean wipe just now. Managed to get 5 hours SOT on the first run, fully stock. Not bad! With a few optimizations here and there plus the magic of Franco kernel, booom! |

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Jan 2 2014, 03:32 AM) Ya I saw that post but how excatly did he tersepit it? He put it at the edge? Usually people will put in the bonet ma, not at the edge its hard for me to explain in English, let me explain it in malay.semalam i pergi PD, lepas siap mandi pantai i tukar baju di belakang pintu. disebabkan sudah gelap i bukak torch kt N5 i. i letak n5 tu dekat bonet belakang, kereta estima punya bonet belakang, dan i letak dekat dengan engsel pintu tu. then lepas siap i lupa hp i then i close the bonet. |

QUOTE(jackal75 @ Jan 2 2014, 10:26 AM) most probably getting a second hand Nexus 5 is better than taking the risk n cost to repair it, as u not sure whether any other thing broken. where to buy second hand N5? every N5 owners love their Nexus. hahahi also consider to sell my N5 and get the new one. but dont know if anyone want to buy it anyway. |

is it too expensive if I change the cracked screen with Rm500 price tag. thats only the price of screen, not include the postage and labour service |

this page gives me a clue that replacing the N5 screen could be expensive due to the screen is fused to the display module. they said that replacing the screen could be expensive or very difficult. |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Jan 3 2014, 10:42 PM) Erm... It's very common for display to be fused to the glass. Nexus 4, Nexus 5, all Samsung AMOLEDs, iPhone 4 onwards, etc etc some say that it would be easier if u change the module once than replace the glass alone. You can only replace the glass alone if you can apply enough heat to defuse the display from the glass. its because its difficult to replace the glass only. |
