He takes on the responsibility saying that he will ensure every unit is working before sending out, I think that extra amount of money is reasonable. Maybe you should order yourself? tongue.gif

I think a wireless charger would be useful because it reduces the usage of the USB port (constantly plugging in and out) and also reduces the rate of your phone battery deteriorating because faster charge rate would actually mean lower lifespan.

OK lah, watashiwa enlightened desu~ biggrin.gif
*
Using wireless charger however, is actually wasting energy over a long period of time. The efficiency is not as high as wired. That's why you need a larger input (2A) in order to supply 1A to your phone. Anyway, it's just a small amount of money. Say 10Wh (5V x 2A = 10W) for each hour of charging and it takes 3 hours to fully charge a phone, it's just 30Wh or 0.03kWh. Each kWh will be charged around 34 cents. 0.03*0.34 =RM0.0102 per day. A sum so small that most ppl won't even care biggrin.gif

The most easily broken thing on a phone:
1) Display/Glass - which you can't claim warranty anyway
2) Water damage - which it will show up as a colour change in a water testing sticker in your phone, also can't claim warranty
3) Spoilt button - buttons normally lasts XXX,XXX presses. Even if it really get spoilt, it isn't expensive to be repaired
4) Spoilt USB Port - also not something too expensive to be repaired

Without warranty, there's only one thing you have to worry about, the motherboard. If anything happen to your motherboard, you're basically doomed biggrin.gif

Other problems less likely to happen: - faulty display/battery/wifi etc etc. Just hope they won't happen to you biggrin.gif
*
few things we can do to prevent biggrin.gif
1) use military type super protection casing + glass SP
2) nth much, just be careful from water damage
3) reduce the physical buttons usage, use S2W/S2S
4) reduce port usage, transfer file wirelessly, charging wirelessly

techbug.my is the D820 which is not compatible with malaysian LTE. I think i might jst ring up a pal of mine over there. RM1199 is just too tempting if it can last me for the 1st year without hiccups.
*
techbug has D821 models for sale too, charges extra RM100 though @ RM1599.

Shops offering AP warranty will normally be reluctant to honour your warranty claim. They will do it for you if it's small problem like button/usb etc but things like motherboard, it's very hard. They'll probably even ask your to cover the cost. Anyway it depends on the shop you buy from.

Google WTS Nexus 5, click the lelong link. Those written there 2 yrs warranty means AP set(shop warranty). Those without warranty means import set (they just import without providing warranty)

Yeah that's good. But anyway, what is your personal opinion of a wireless charger, maybe that Nilkin one in particular. Are you getting one too?

Haha, yes it's covered by the shop but I've heard horror stories that some shops tend to give a lot of excuses and all not to send it back to the country of origin for a replacement /repair.

Well yeah it depends on the shop owner itself. BTW just checked from one of the reputable sellers in lelong DirectD selling the Nexus 5 for around RM1555 bt with screen protector n case is around RM1599.

Still not to sure if i should go for the AUS set or just get the one with M'sia warranty.

Let's just wait for a reply from my pal in AUS. If he's cmg bek for CNY holidays, I might just ask him to buy for me.

Hi guys,

In response of my bulk for Nillkin wireless charger, I have created a form to better manage your interest.
Please fill in the following form as an ROI, payment detail will be shared once quota is met.
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Npth0ZWVuj...sxovqo/viewform

Detail:
Additional info:
I am asking a bit more for handling charge because I want to minimise my risk for this bulk. We are buying China products after all and it will be troublesome if seller is reluctant to refund for faulty units.

Discount RM5 if you take two (one for your office, one for your home!)

IMPORTANT:
I expect no tax/import duty (no relevant entry for phone charger in the custom database). However, in the event if we were taxed, the incurred amount will be born by you. I will go to custom to clear the item though, no extra charge for this.

I need attention of yewfattsuper_evil_aliencybpsych to fill in the form.

tongue.gif I actually just come here kacau one. Not owning any of new nexus-es. Still stuck with Galaxy Nexus which I think still serve me right (except that awful battery life and camera which trains you how to use your phone conservatively and to maximise what you can get from that camera biggrin.gif)

Will upgrade probably half year later?

Your gf is bringing in right? If so & its only 1 unit then nothing to worry about. Just sleep peacefully.

Just open your unit (break the seal), if they ask anything just say personal use. 99% will lepas if hand carry/luggage

Guys my nexus battery is becoming worse…
The phone is on idle a lot in office with very good 3G signal throughout
It's on 3G data all the time

This is typically what I get…
Slightly over 2 hours screen on time with about 1 day standby
Android device manager is both turn off and location is set to battery saving

Appreciate help to fix this
Thanks

I think its best to ignore posters who constantly ask if the Nexus 5 is now available or when will it be available. It doesn't add any value to others.

If they're bright enough, they can always use the search function in this thread.
