finally, bought Yamaha RX-A1080 + Klipsch RP-600M (as front speaker) and R-41SA (as front height speaker for Dolby Atmos), currently looking at center speaker, subwoofer and 4k TV....

What’s your view on both Klipsch, do you like it and enjoy the movie with them?

How’s the Atmos, is it really a game changer?

Yup, i like the Klipsch speakers! they are great, but not every one like Klipsch because they are using "Horn tweeter" (suggest to try it before purchase).  Whereby for the effect of Atmos, i would say ceiling mounted is the best way to go (if possible), i tried that in the showroom (demo set), it was damn nice!.  For my case, i still enjoy them (front height, but still cannot compare with ceiling mounted  dry.gif )

Great, will definitely audition Klipsch vs Elac. Unfortunately i dont have in ceiling option, only top of tower/bookshelf option.

I would suggest you at least go for front height solution...I tried the up firing, honest speaking the performance is bad...of course this will depend on your ceiling height, room space,  ceiling fan, etc...

Thanks for the feedback.
It Will be really tough for me to setup front height.
I wish there will be shop which i can buy up firing, test it at home and return it for full refund or exchange if it’s bad.
Like u said, it’ll be pointless to audition it at the shop because the variable will be different.

Hi guys, undecided between Denon X1500 and Onkyo NR575. Both are at similar price points, features and wattage power.

My set up will be 5.1.2 (front height) and mostly for 4K UHD movie watching. Which one gives the best  Dolby Atmos and DTS X audio quality.

Thanks.

I had the same dilemma last mth, between denon x2500 and onkyo nr686.
I went with Denon as i read that it is better for movies, i like the interface and the app better and with discount i feel it is a good bargain.
