Hi guys, last year I purchased a Yamaha YPS 1600 soundbar. I'm very happy with it so far but I want to make some upgrades. Below are my ideas:-
1. Would like to add rear speakers. (What speakers would you recommend which is good and affordable rather than the Yamaha Musiccast 20? 2. What subwoofer should I use? 3. How can I achieve a Dolby Atmos setup? 4. What will be the best configuration for the entire setup?
Appreciate your feedback on this. Thanks, guys.

QUOTE(Fusion @ May 7 2019, 01:06 PM) hi, 1. for surround, the Musiccast 20 is the only way to add back speaker as the soundbar does not support audio output. the musicast is a propriety system therefore you cant use any bluetooth or wireless speaker as your back speaker. 2. you can use any subwoofer as the soundbar has a dedicated subwoofer output. if your budget permits, you can even add a very high end sub from SVS or JL audio. it all depends on your budget. 3. Atmos is not possible as the soundbar does not support Atmos processing. 4. the highest you can achieve is to add Musicast 20 (RM1900x2) and dedicated subwoofer (RM2k) but with that price, you could get a dedicated AV amp and Q acoustics 5.1 speaker. Thanks man. Can u explain further on point 4 option that you suggested? This post has been edited by macjacko: May 9 2019, 07:32 PM
