what screen is that?

So here's my final setup.....

Screen: Grandview 106" motorized tab-tension

Front Speaker : Kef-Q300
Center Speaker : Kef Q200C
Surround Speaker : Kef Q100
Subwoofer : SVS SB2000
HDMI: Golden Sound HD-V1000
Speaker cables: basic ofc 16awg
Power cord: 2.5mm core power cords

Just had my projector calibrated today

based on the initial readings....Grandview + Sony 55es combo...the blue is higher than the rest of the colour
therefore during grayscale, the light gray shade had a purplish blue tint

it was under contrast and brightness was not set properly

I also had issues with the projector installed tilted down.....corrected that error and adjust projector to flat against horizontal line....used lense shift to adjust image height instead of V keystone which affected the full HD output....which also explained my 3D movies wasn't sharp.

I engaged bro anfieldude for his calibration service....
he is both ISF and THX certified....very limited slots though

I remember in an older posts some members bought some sign or plaques with THX, Dolby etc to hang in their HT. Where can I find them? I am looking to buy a few.

Surround speakers.

Decided to spend RM470 on a pair of Mission MV-DS bookshelf speakers (as surround) to complement my old Mission Volare V63 stand and V6C centre speakers.

Would the former complement the other? Will eventually add an ONKYO TR-N696 7.1 Receiver but for now, I’d be happy to just have 5.1 properly.

Can someone recommend a reasonably priced stand for said speakers? Dealer was trying to sell me stands which cost almost twice the price of the speakers!

Stands do matter - to a certain extent.

Hollow stands will actually cause artificial reverberation, that could then be amplified by nearby boundary. Weak stands may also not be able to handle the weight of a speaker.

Of course, don't be an idiot and buy for some plutonium-infused blast proof glass stand or something.
