Here's my simple setup, trying to keep it minimal and went for a soundbase instead. Nothing too fancy.

TV: Samsung 55" H6700
Amplifier: Soundbase below
PLayer: Xbox One & PS4


Started off with the Samsung Soundstage. Quite like how thin and streamlined it is. The surround sound is pretty impressive and sounded quite wide.




decided to check out the Sony HTXT1 as well. Slightly larger/higher but the bass does have the thump

It has left and right speakers at the front, built in subwoofer and 2 downward firing drives. The sony is a 2.1 ch and the samsung is 4.2 ch.

So far so good, and it's loud enough to rumble the neighbours (in an apartment). But obviously you won't be able to get the full surround experience.

Got mine in uk for about £280 (RM1500)

Lol I did check with my neighbours if they could hear me blasting it but so far no complaints.

Guess she hasn't heard me cranking up the 100watt marshall amp. ;)
