QUOTE(Dickong @ Feb 11 2017, 05:07 PM) You are right bro. the tv hdr on/off setting serve no purpose since it can auto detect hdr but player side is useful. If the player do not have setting to turn off the hdr, your TV setting should handle this. Some ppl may prefer HDR off

QUOTE(Dickong @ Feb 17 2017, 12:43 PM) As said earlier this tv definately support hdr its only when player set to hdr but the tv must not ON hdr. It seems it auto detect hdr from tv so when u on hdr from tv its like ON hdr twice. But from player hdr to tv i can really see a lot different in pq n color depth. Had you reported to Samsung?

QUOTE(sonerin @ May 1 2017, 12:01 PM) QUOTE(htkaki @ May 2 2017, 06:53 PM) Yes. Just like the price gap between BDP-105D and BDP-103 So UDP-205 likely will cost more than 7K due to the weak currency

QUOTE(Justeafy @ Jul 4 2017, 07:00 PM) Hi all, I have a query about setting up a Panasonic DVD Home Theater System to my Windows PC. Is it possible? My PC specs should be able to handle it (i5 processor and GTX1060). Will I need any additional hardware/ software to make this work? This is the home theater system that I have (quite an old one): https://www.manualslib.com/manual/118193/Panasonic-Sc-Pt560.htmlHope to get surround sound on my PC using this setup. Thanks in advance!! Your Panasonic do not have HDMI input so might not able to enjoy HD audio. What you can do is to pass through the digital signal from PC to your Panasonic via optical cable (DTS and DD up to 5.1 channel only) if your PC have the optical out (most gaming mobo or high end system should have). If not the last option is audio output from PC to RCA input of your Panasonic, but you will have stereo sound only.

QUOTE(Justeafy @ Jul 4 2017, 10:13 PM) Thanks for the reply. My mobo is this: http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/GA-B150M-D3H-rev-10#ovI don't think it has the optical out needed. What do I need to buy to add to my mobo to get 5.1 surround? A sound card? Sorry for the noob questions haha... If you can get an add on sound card will be nice. You may upgrade the mobo with optical without changing your CPU, GPU and Ram.

QUOTE(sleepy 1 @ Oct 16 2017, 07:19 PM) I have bought a 55 inch TV recently. The speaker from TV is pretty flat, so I am intend to get a set of speaker that can enhance the sound quality. Could u please advise me which to choose? I prefer something not bulky and I don't use high volume too. The living room is only 4m by 7m. Budget is around rm2k only. Thanks You may opt for soundbar

QUOTE(sleepy 1 @ Oct 17 2017, 06:03 AM) You may consider Yamaha sound bar. Btw, there are many brands of sound bar around 2k, you may walk in to the shop for an audition.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Nov 30 2017, 04:02 PM) SVS launches 4000 series subwoofers - https://www.svsound.com/pages/4000-seriesBasically a replacement for the 13-Ultra series, but also priced cheaper with some refinements to the driver. Better and cheaper as compare to 13-Ultra? This post has been edited by saitong09: Dec 1 2017, 05:51 PM
