New Metallic Grey 2.0V owner clocking in here. Got my ride on Friday, 10/10. With aerokit. Loving it so far but my only gripe is because mine comes with the 215/45/17 series Michelin tyres, gotta get used to the slightly harder steering but in terms of stability, it's awesome. And for those who want the DVD player to work while driving, the process is super simple. You just have to disconnect 2 wires at the back of the player. :hyper

QUOTE(FuNks @ Oct 14 2014, 01:09 PM) No, i have zero knowledge on these things. My regular car audio specialist did it for me. Since i added an amp and changed all the speaker wiring, he did it for me FOC. But he said it's a 2 minute job. Just disconnect 2 wires at the back of the player which goes to parking brake sensor and speed sensor, without effecting warranty, etc. |

QUOTE(slk8 @ Oct 29 2014, 02:37 PM) Any negative feedback in regards Locktech Pedal Lock? Such as knocking knee, trigger sounds while driving.... Kindly share with thanks... I installed the Defender pedal lock, made by same locktech company which rebranded. No need to cut any wires and no need to install socket. Since I have the push start button, I need to depress brake pedal to start, therefore cut of socket for brake is not necessary. just install the lock on the nuts and you[re good to go. extra protection is always better. |

QUOTE(slk8 @ Nov 5 2014, 10:43 PM) Finally get a chance to view the latest model of 1.8 G. yes, no safety lines. Nowadays most reverse cameras don't come with the lines because you don't need it. Since you can see the tip of your bumper, you can already gauge the distance, the lines can be quite distracting actually. But understanding the Reverse Camera does not come with the lines as attached pictures such as green, red lines as indicator.. Is it true for those already get their Altis recently? As the sales people claimed they still applying the same supplier in Thailand |

No complaints and heat rejection is acceptable. Furthermore it's approved by jpj. It's better than most free tints that area in the market now. Even parked under hot Sun, car cools down quite fast. I'm happy with it. |

That's the car voltage display. The range should be between 12 and 24. Fixed it for RM110 with installation. Done in 10 mins at a Toyota Altis club member's shop in Puchong. He also has a similar dual usb port without voltage display. Same price.
Aux port is already in the player. This post has been edited by aceedburn: Dec 17 2014, 08:53 AM |

QUOTE(Maythe4th bewithyou @ Dec 19 2014, 03:23 PM) I think all altis owners face this lousy workmanship issue. If toyota does not acknowledge this we should send them a list of unhappy owners and they should take some action about it. Someone has to take the lead to compile all the common problems we're facing and then support the letter with verified owners details and signatures. Then this document should be handed over to a member of the senior management team at UMW Toyota. If everyone is willing to co-operate, I am willing to take the lead to champion this. Let me know by show of hands. So far we have just been complaining here and b****ing about how lousy the quality of fittings etc but its time to take this to a higher level of action. Let's all do this together. The same goes with the noisy roof during rain. They can't just ignore it when so many people is facing the same problem. |

QUOTE(thunderbird @ Mar 28 2015, 09:45 AM) It actually depends on your driving style. If you're a fast driver, generally higher air pressure is better. But for causal driving lower will be more comfortable. But of course lower air pressure will wear your tires down a little faster. So it's comfort vs value. |

QUOTE(armadasaxon @ Jun 3 2015, 12:53 PM) yes definitely cheaper outside, but the only problem would be if you meet with an accident, insurance will not cover your bodykit but if you have it installed when you get your car, it will be covered by insurance. |
