Yeah I totally agree with you. The tyre on 2.0v will caused around RM500/ donut just to change as its using Michelin PS3! Power wise 2.0V is just slightly more power than 1.8g but of coz 2.0 will give you the good feeling but seriously at 138k might as well go for camry right? Correct me if I'm wrong. hehe
On the issue regarding the rooftop noise, i felt the material on the ceiling is quite thick. when i knock the rooftop oso feel solid. Can't really comment as when i test drove the car it wasn't raining. hehe. So very difficult to comment but it looks solid to me.
*
I bought my 2.0v used around 94k
Okla the tyre not that expensive lah, michelin ps4 around rm410 but i changed to yokohama v701 rm290/donut..good enough..not like we can do spirited driving with the engine laugh.gif

How much is your Yokohama? Original size Ka?
Still undecided on 1.8g or 2.0 v as usually I Will opt for highest specs.
Anyway side track abit.
Me tomorrow or Wednesday gonna change my wife crv 2.4 original tyre Dunlop 225/60/R18 and it will cost me rm 550/ donut  cry.gif manage to find a shop in punchong selling at reasonable price
The crv clocks 61,xxx and first time changing. Really difficult to find this tyre size.
*
puchong tyre prices slaughter people 1
if u got time give oscar a call and ask so far they give me the best price

QUOTE(FuNks @ Jun 5 2017, 08:19 PM)
wow fleva? 215 or 225? do u notice any significant diff between ps3 and fleva? am thinking to go ps4 or fleva  cry.gif
*
215. to me not much difference in terms of grip between ps3 and fleva. less tyre noise also. but i'm not the kind who corner at 140 - 160 at highway, tried genting up and down, so far grip i think is ps3 level.

which shop did u go to? can share contact and location?
the one i worried most is wet grip. dry grip i heard is on par with ps3. if wet is somewhere near ps3, guess its worth to try. going for 225, i guess price will be much higher  bangwall.gif

to me i think the wet grip is more or less the same as ps3

If you want Eco car with reliability then this car is for you. If you want zoom zoom then don't bother to look here, go get the turbodiesel Tucson biggrin.gif

Yeah on paper...Toyota is the most reliable n worry free car but the drive is less exiting. We can't have both. Mazda is the most fun to drive among the japs
*
Actually not bad lah the Tucson.
My family now has two toyota, one Hilux and now altis. Upcoming car for sure won't be toyota anymore, had enough laugh.gif

QUOTE(hushymushy @ Jun 22 2017, 12:03 PM)
Just changed d dunlop tyres to michelin ps4

First impression:

Straight road better traction even accelaration
Cornering definitely few notches up
Normal corners for me usually i hv to reduce speed but with the PS4, i could take the same line without slowing down

Overall a good buy for me

Final price:
Rm365 per tyre
Rm10 for ss air valve 4 pieces
Rm700 trade in for the dunlop donuts all 4

205/55 r16 94W XL model...since d tyre can take xtra load and higher weight rating....expect the tyre to reach 55000km to 60000km based on thread wear rating

D shop has a set of ori 17" from 2.0V...also new...owner trade in straight aft collecting his car...

Going for 1800 fof 4 without d rubbers... didnt go for it but for bros who are interested to move to 17" with the right specs...can consider this

If i change it would be OZ or Rays
*
365 per tyre? where is the shop?

That's weird. My headlights can turn off and also be set to auto. Only the DRL can't be turned off.
*
Can be turned off leh in the Pre FL version.

Not sure about the 1.8 but the 2.0 I have was good in power delivery.

My 2.0v clocked 100,000Km finally today, 2014 model. But on the journey to 100,000km the aircond compressor spoil once, cost me rm1.5k to repair.

aside from that normal wear and tear

Hi guys,

I wonder if this service is expensive?

75k km service

RM 280 change voltronic 5w40 plus oil filter
RM 55 engine flush oil
RM 58 air filter
RM 330 change original iridium spark plugs
RM 75 change engine oil cap

feels like getting overcharged for spark plugs & engine oil cap

this is not toyota service center. Just standard car service shop.

this is confirm kena chop chop

Yea,my mistake for not doing research before ariival. not Toyota Service Centre too. Went there last minute. Wasn't aware of the market price.
*
actually these days very easy to know if the price is reasonable
just check which is ur altis model, if ZRE series
can go shopee/lazada and enter the parts name

u will get the parts price
usually i check with vanli because they are reputable original parts supplier
then u can know the parts price

but give and take
mechanic need to earn some, so long as it is within the reasonable range
