Most probably yes.I doubt HTC can match what Google offers with the Nexus 5, on the same price point.
Just wishful thinking right now, obviously who wouldn't want an M8 performing phone with half the price?

So I'm waiting for HTC Malaysia to launch the M8 but meanwhile, I'm seriously considering getting a Taiwan set from one of the parallel importers (e.g. Seven Mobile, DirectD, etc) instead.
Firstly, can someone tell me if the Taiwan set's LTE is compatible with ours? Secondly, in the event of a warranty claim, it's stated that the shop covers the warranty. Does this mean they send it back to Taiwan or do they usually try to repair it themselves? Considering the number of complaints of poor service by HTC Malaysia, I'm wondering if the shop warranty may be a better solution, assuming they send it back to Taiwan. Anyone have any experience with claiming from the shops before? Is it a pain? |

takeshi_kovacs, but the parallel importer's price are 2.6k for 16GB. Isn't that a bit steep? Perhaps official price for 16gb would be like 2.3?

Parallel import is RM2.5k. I heard from an official HTC shop that it will be RM2499 launching 1st week of May. In Singapore it's also 16gb at an equivalent of RM2.6k so if they launch the 32gb, I think it will cost more.I'm probably just trying to justify buying it as soon as possible. |
