Hi,

Will travel to Cameron highland with my family soon, i found that many hotels got limit certain number of peoples that can stay in one room. As my family is just a small one, only 4 persons, we enjoy staying in one room while travelling.

My question is if i book a room for 3 persons, can we quietly fit in another person to that room without letting the hotel know?

Will the hotel come to check?

just book the room like normal

and when you go into the room, don't go in together in a group of 4

instead 2 of you go up first, and after 5 mins, another two go up

no use spend money for extra room since you only stay in the room to sleep, rest, shower and most of the time enjoy outside

i also got the same problem when i travel with my family. to bandung, jakarta, singapore. all 3 star and 4 star hotels, max is 3adult. 5star is too much la. haha

but then, we just book 2 star hotel that offered 2 queen bed in 1room, to accomodate 4 of us.

we scared that the hotel manager/staff will charge us for the extra adult.

one time, we need to check in at 12am, kl-bandung, so i dont think my family can do the trick by don't go in together in a group of 4, coz we got nowhere to hide ourselves. haha

yeah, during travel, we just use the room to sleep, take bath and rest. most of the time we busy shopping and sight-seeing. the price for 2 queen bed in a 2 star hotel is more expensive than the price for 1queen+1single in a 3 star hotel in Bandung/jakarta.

Thanks for the strategy. If anybody ask, we will say the extra person is my friend that come to visit us, for a while only. So bad me.

Yeah, agree. 5 star is just too much. If your family got several children, it a bit difficult to go up to the room separately.
How about the quality of 2 star hotel?
I am interested in booking 2 star hotel, if the quality is acceptable and offer 2 queen bed.

the 2 star hotel in Bandooong, got bedbugs and im the victim on the 1st night. haha. i woke up and already got bite by the bedbugs. shit.

but, as i stay at 3 star hotel in kl before, i found cockroach under the bed sheet. bad luck

4star hotels like grand season kl and silka maytower service apartments, great service, superb. of course it comes with a price. hehe, per nite for 1 junior suite, rm230 - rm350..

brisdale kl which is 3 star hotel, got 2 queen bed in a room, only rm150 if u book tru online.

msia hotel not so strict.. but plz keep the noise down, if next door ppl complain, hotel will come and check..

also don forget.. got CCTV la if hotel really wanna nail u..

I don't think they will mind for 1-2 extra person. So long not 6-7 person in one room

Just when check in dont go all 4 at the check in counter..

Just get 1 person to check in counter, the rest sit at the lobby sofa. When check in done then the rest follow to the room will do. Normally hotels don't ask but if they do just tell them the extra person is friend come to visit / helping carry luggage will do. But if you tell them honestly they'll just charge you extra bed depends on the FIT rate chosen, they won't ask you to pick another package to fit for >= 4 person cause they also afraid you'll rather go for another hotel nearby

Guys, what about hostels in Singapore? Will be travelling with friends in a group of five. But problem is that the hostel only has 4-bed rooms, can sneak in the fifth person?

if small hotel like ones in europe its obvious when u cramp in one room, the reception is normally by the lift or stairs. in malaysia all the hotels and their lobbies are so big its impossible to keep track.

Singapore really strict. Couldnt even do it in a hotel room (Hotel 81) even when i wanted to add money for additional person. They start quoting safety regulations bla bla bla.

Lol who follow the rules .I have stay in Hotel at Malaysia,Singapore,Jakarta and Bandung they dont even to care to check how many people stay in one room.As we are a big family.My dad will only take 3room to accomodate 10 of us.

well i did squeeze into ywca ..lol
