Guys
I'm planning to get a iPad air 32g on senq, but they required us to pay extra 200 Plus for extra warranty or other stuff.
Do you guys think I should take the warranty?
Thanks

I have all the iPad 1, 2, 3, retina except for the newly launched air.
No problem even after using it for 2 or 3 years. I also have 3 iPad mini. 1 spoilt (screen blacked out now and then) after 6 months which Apple replaced for me. Another one just spoilt, also black out now and then. Took it to Apple Store and they said even if it is still just under warranty, they will not be repairing or replacing it as there are 2 dents at the edge - they referred me to their warranty wording which excludes dents. They told me they will give me a special price of RM 900 for a new one. Mine are 32 G and I think I paid RM 1200 thereabouts for it. I argued and eventually I had to deal with Apple call centre in SG. I told them I am not claiming for dents which is a cosmetic damage. They said the dent could have caused the blackout. I told them to tell me which dent caused it and if it can be pinpointed I have no problem accepting it as accidental damage. They said they do not know. I told them the warranty also exclude scratches on the screen. So if the iPad mini blackout but they can see a scratch on the screen, can they say the warranty is void because the screen has a scratch ? They will have no standing in court. Anyway they agreed to replace for me under warranty. So I think the iPads are pretty hardy. iPad mini on the other hand seems to be a bit flimsy. So you you are buying a mini, go for warranty. If going for iPad maybe not. Just my 2 cents. BTW when I said I, I mean my family - I don't need so many iPads myself. |

Yup, me too. A loyal Apple follower, so far all so good (touch wood). I think the products are quite well made. My household has 5 Iphone 4, 1 iPhone 5, 1 iphone 5c, 2 iPad Air, 1iPad 2, and macbook pro. Have confidence bro. But if u have money to spare, go ahead and buy extended warranty for ease of mind..
